Emily Dolo and her boyfriend Barnett Motloung live in the eastern state of Mpumalanga. The couple can’t seem to get enough of each other and tend to make love for hours during the daytime. This would have been perfectly ok if they weren’t ruining meal time and TV time for their neighbors.

“I have a nine-year-old boy and he always asks what is happening every time the woman screams,” one neighbor told The Sowetan daily.

A parent should not have to be asked such a question (unless of course the screams were coming from within their own household).

Neighbors had reported the couple to the ghosi (elder) of their village in the past and he’d ordered Dolo to keep the noise level to a minimum.

Maybe she tried. Maybe she didn’t. But perhaps if she’d tried a bit harder the elder wouldn’t have had to order the couple not to have sex from 5 am to 10 pm.

That’s 17 hours of no sex for a couple that loves to have sex for hours during the daytime. I wonder how they’ll manage.

Is it even ok to let them have sex past 10 pm? The loud couple would probably only end up disturbing their neighbors as they slept.

I believe the best solution to this problem is soundproofed walls.
