It was just a matter of time.  O’Donnell was out of control, and becoming a liability to the ABC network.  ABC should have taken advantage of the termination, by admitting that it was just that – a termination of an employee who did not well represent their company. When CBS fired Imus over his on air comments they were quick to try and take advantage of the public relations blitz and claim high ground. ABC gets no such credit for firing O’Donnell, because they let her spin a “contract dispute” story to the media. Disney execs should start watching T.V. and pay attention to their own programming.
