HelloKitty Hell, a website that chronicles the latest HelloKitty items, reports that the if you are a policman in Thailand and you are caught coming in late, littering, or other minor offenses you  will now be punished by being forced to wear…armband

The local chief of police explains:

“Simple warnings no longer work. This new twist is expected to make them feel guilt and shame and prevent them from repeating the offense, no matter how minor,” said Pongpat, acting chief of the Crime Suppression Division in Bangkok.

“(Hello) Kitty is a cute icon for young girls. It’s not something macho police officers want covering their biceps,” Pongpat said.

For Americans, it’s hard to explain how HelloKitty is beloved with little girls all over Asia.

I myself have a HelloKitty Clock, and my granddaughter has hellokitty shoes, bookbag,  jewelry etc.

In fact, one can find HelloKitty merchandise on almost anything…toasters, computers, tailpipes, and she even has her own airplane.

So could I suggest that if the good policemen still don’t behave, maybe you should just make them carry one of these:

That should have all the local thieves and murderers shaking in their helloKitty Boots.

HelloKitty Hell indeed.
