It’s that time of year again when Hollywood celebrates what the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences regards as the best films of the past year. Dreamgirls, a film about a soul music group in the 1960s starring Beyoncé Knowles, Eddie Murphy and Jamie Foxx, received Oscar nominations in eight categories, the most for a single movie.
