The new movie about Wolverine just came out last weekend.  It seems as though he is the favorite of most people when it comes the X-Men.  Being a man, I’ve always been drawn to Rogue, Storm and especially Jean Grey.  But if more than my hormonal impulses had to choose a favorite, I would have to go with Cyclops.  He possesses a power that leaves him isolated and capable of hurting those he loves most.  Regardless of your choice, it’s time to see them in their original glory!

Starting this April 28th, now available in a two disc set from Buena Vista Home Entertainment and Marvel comes the first collection of episodes from the comic book Saturday morning staple.  X-Men – Volume One is ready to slash, blast, blow and otherwise propel itself out of your television set through whatever mutant means necessary and will bring a world of adventure and fun into your life that you remember from those mornings in your childhood.  Bring home this fantastic first collection of episodes today!

This great collection from the television series contains the first sixteen episodes, included three two-part series – “Night Of The Sentinels,” “Days Of Future Past” and “Till Death Do Us Part.”  Tag along with Professor X, Wolverine, Beast, Storm, Cyclops, Rogue, Gambit and the rest of the gang as they go up against Magneto and whoever else gets in their way.  Relive this Saturday morning classic today!

As far as special features go, this two disc set contains Dolby Digital Surround Sound, French and Spanish language tracks, French and Spanish subtitles and full screen resolution.

Some of my favorite episodes from the television series are included in this two disc collection.  “Slave Island” was great, the two part “Days Of Future Past” were some of the greatest story lines in the original comic books and my all-time favorite is “The Unstoppable Juggernaut.”  That may or may not have anything to do with the great spoof video about the Juggernaut that was popular a couple of years ago.  I loved this series when I was a kid and it introduced me to the comic books.  I liked how the story lines were taken straight from the source without hardly being changed or adapted.  Whenever I have to talk about the Marvel Universe with other nerds who grew up on the comic books, watching this show certainly helps me to hold my own.  But you need to buy it and you need to do so now.

One can’t live without this classic collection of comic book goodness!
