The Complete Twelfth Season

Personally, I like the degradation of television.  I don’t want to watch Leave It To Beaver or Gunsmoke for the rest of my life.  I want some edgy dramas, some oversexed teenagers living in Manhattan, anything with Tina Fey in it, some crazy animated kids doing all sorts of things.  Now there’s a whole lot more of the latter and it’s ready for you on DVD right now.

Starting this March 10th, now available as a three disc boxed set from Comedy Central DVD and Paramount Studios Home Entertainment comes the next season of one the most hilarious animated shows on television right now.  South Park – The Complete Twelfth Season – Uncensored is ready to explode out of your television screen and bring a whole world of fantastic humor into your living room.  Bring home this groundbreaking and crude boxed set today!

Those zany kids from Colorado are back again and it’s even more fun than it was the first eleven times they hung out with you.  Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Cartman, Token, Butters and everyone else pal around with Britney Spears, save the world from Peruvian pan flute bands and giant guinea pigs, Michael Chertoff has a secret identity, vampires are back, musical craze takes hold, more gender identity issues take hold and a great fight over breast cancer leaves one character almost dead.  And that’s just the beginning.  The episodes included in this boxed set are “Tonsil Trouble,” “Britney’s New Look,” “Major Boobage,” “Canada On Strike!,” “Eek, A Penis!,” “Over Logging,” “Super Fun Time,” “The China Probrem,” “Breast Cancer Show Ever,” “Pandemic,” “Pandemic 2 – The Startling,” “About Last Night,” “Elementary School Musical” and “The Ungroundable.”

The special features included in this three disc set are a whole mess of mini-commentaries from Matt and Trey, a look at the making of episode “Major Boobage,” a look at the making of “Super Funny Time” and a look at the making of “About Last Night.”  It’s a little disappointing that there isn’t more, but come on, it’s South Park and it’s completely uncensored.  What else could you possibly want?

Where can you start when it comes to a living legend?  This show is one of the most culturally relevant shows on television right now and continues to set the bar high both in terms of offensiveness and also sheer creativity.  Matt and Trey are modern gods and their show reflects that nature.  Some of the most hilarious moments on television in the last year have come from this show and not just a couple of them either.  The cultural references and clever allusions flow so well in this show and each character is simply wonderful.  If you haven’t seen this show once, you owe it to yourself to watch at least one episode the whole way through.  Do it for your future, the one where you actually have sense of humor.

Come on down to South Park and meet all your new friends.
