Television spin-offs are highly unpredictable.  They are usually even worse than movie sequels.  Some are very good and go on to even eclipse the original series.  Yet most are simply abominable.  But, just lately, there is a new spin-off series that has been very good and is one I really enjoy.  Now you can bring home the whole second season on DVD today!

Starting this September 15th, now available on DVD from ABC Studios and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment comes the second season of the hospital show spin-off that people just don’t seem to be able to get enough of.  Private Practice – The Complete Second Season is ready to come scrambling out of your television screen and fill your living room with even more personal dilemmas and hospital related issues.  Bring home the whole second season on DVD today!

The doctors you love are back to their old tricks at Ocean Wellness Group.  Dr. Addison Montgomery, the neo-natal surgeon, still loves working there more than she ever would have guessed.  Tag along with her and all the other doctors there as they deal with life and death issues of those they serve and also learn how to deal with the important issues in their own life.  This series stars Kate Walsh, Taye Diggs, Amy Brenneman, Audra McDonald, Tim Daly, Paul Adelstein, KaDee Strickland and Chris Lowell.

The special features included in this DVD are some extended episodes, a look at deleted scenes and some blooper reels, a great look behind the scenes of this entire season and a featurette about Chris Lowell and his involvement in this series.

My sister also loves this show, as she does just about every show that involves hospitals.  I like this show because Kate Walsh is in it and every single time I see those ads with her in them, I have to stop myself from running out and buying a Cadillac right there.  Addison left Seattle Grace two years ago because she wanted something better, some place without all that stress and weird personal involvement.  And this show certainly is different.  Although there are a lot of personal things going in this series, it isn’t as weird as stuff was in Seattle.  Of course, that show has been on longer so all the crazy stuff has to come out since ideas are running out.  But all in all, this show is much more gentle and genuine when it comes to dealing with those personal issues.  That makes this show worth bringing home today!

You can’t keep this show Private for much longer!
