The Complete First Season

Who doesn’t get the urge to just drop everything and just leave, start over somewhere completely new and fresh?  I get it all the time, but my student loans keep me from going anywhere.  Lame.  I have some friends who are just up and moving to Nashville, no connections there, no plans, no anything, just the desire to do so and the actions to get them there.  Now there’s a new show out about a person who does much the same thing, only she moves from one of the best known shows on television to her very own spin-off.

Starting this September 16th, now available on DVD from ABC Studios and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment comes the first season of the spin-off show from one of the biggest hit shows on television right now.  Private Practice – The Complete First Season Extended Edition is ready to burst into your living room with it’s fresh breath of life and second chances and take you along with it.  Bring home this fantastic show today!

Dr. Addison Montgomery has left Seattle Grace and has gone to Oceanside Wellness Group in California because she needs a clean break from her old life.  Working with a bunch of friends from medical school, she feels that this is her chance for a new life.  Yet these people have issues too, from divorces to being lonely to being over controlling and having lots of issues.  People get insomnia, skip out on a housewarming party, go on dangerous house calls, sign up for online dating and a whole lot more too.  Kate Walsh, Taye Diggs, Amy Brenneman, Audra McDonald and many others make up the stellar cast of this new show.

The special features included in this DVD boxed set are a look at Kate Walsh and how she got one of the most coveted roles in television currently, a featurette about behind the scenes of the show, two extended episodes, a selection of deleted scenes, a reel of bloopers and optional audio commentaries from creators and cast.

I think Kate Walsh is fantastic.  Did you see that Chrysler ad she was in for the Super Bowl?  I don’t know if my car turns me on, but that advertisement sure did the trick.  When I heard that she was getting her own show, I was greatly excited.  Statistically, that means a greater amount of her on the screen since this one is actually her show.  Let’s be honest, other than a different place, different cast and a slightly different feel, this might as well be Grey’s Anatomy.  If you liked that, you’ll like this too.

Don’t keep this show Private.
