Phineas and Ferb, Vol. 2: The Daze of Summer

Being smart ought to be a whole lot cooler than it is.  The kids in school who put up consistently good test scores and craft clever and illuminating essays deserve to be the cool ones, not whatever kids happen to be the best looking back in fifth grade when the social order magically coalesced.  Brains should be rewarded, not looked down upon and mocked.  Now there’s a new collection of episodes about two awesome smart kids and they are already cool.

Starting this February 10th, now available on DVD from Disney Channel and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment comes the second volume of hilarious adventures from the cartoon geniuses from Disney.  Phineas And Ferb – The Daze Of Summer is ready to blast out of your television screen and bring some fun into your lives.  Bring home this fantastic show today!

Phineas and Ferb are step-brothers and are complete geniuses.  They are also some of the funniest guys around.  It’s summertime now and they are trying to come up with great ways to pass the time.  Of course, they must be careful to avoid their sister, Candace, who only cares about text messages and catching Phineas and Ferb breaking the rules.  Accompanied by their pet platypus, Perry, who is actually a secret agent out to save the world, they travel to Mars, build chariots, dig for pirate treasure and a whole lot more.  The excitement only grows from there!

The special features included in this collection of episodes are a great selection of games which allows you play the science fair games at the Googolplex Mall Science Fair, including a baking soda volcano, a microscopic zoo and a great text message decoder.

I said it when I reviewed the first volume of this show and I’m going to say it again – this is perhaps the funniest show Disney Channel is currently broadcasting.  The kids are smart and completely hilarious and their adventures are mega awesome.  Their platypus is one of the best conceived minor cartoon characters of all time and their sister is nothing but a sheer delight whenever she comes on screen.  The episodes in this show are great and just as funny as the first collection.  Now this show is certainly no SpongeBob SquarePants, which is one of the funniest shows out there, period.  Nonetheless, it’s a great addition to humor on the television screen and your children deserve to be able to watch it.

This Summer is going to be a great one!
