Madagascar - Escape 2 Africa/Nick Penguins 2-Disc Move It, Move It, Double DVD Pack (Widescreen)

I love movies about escaping.  Escape From New York is one of my favorite movies from the Eighties.  Who can’t love Snake Pliskin?  Not to mention that Ernest Borgnine is a delight in anything, so it’s wonderful to see him too.  Now there’s another escape movie, although it’s one your kids can watch and they’ll actually enjoy it.  It’s on DVD now!

Starting this February 6th, now available on DVD from DreamWorks Animation Home Entertainment comes the next chapter in the story of the Central Park animals who found themselves so far from home.  Madagascar – Escape 2 Africa is ready to crash-land in your living room and bring a whole jungle of fun along for the whole family to enjoy.  Bring home this fantastically hilarious film today!

Those four zoo animals lost in the wild of a whole different continent are back again.  This time, with the help of the industrious and clever penguins, they take a plane which crashes in Africa, where they are able to meet animals just like themselves for the first time ever.  They all find a home for themselves and some even find their real parents.  But will this make them stop longing for their real home back in Central Park Zoo?  This film makes good use of the vocal talents of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the Entertainer, Andy Richter, Alec Baldwin,, Bernie Mac and Sherri Shepherd.

The special features included in this DVD are four great music videos for songs from the film, a featurette about speaking Swahili, an African Adventure, a look at the crash landing, a video game about the test flight of Air Penguin and a whole lot more.  This disc is absolutely loaded down with awesome bonus features.

This movie is an absolute delight.  It is funnier than the first film, but just as clever and it doesn’t feel contrived at all.  This film even manages to deal with some very serious issues, such as the importance of family and friends and what really makes a home.  It is a very clever movie and all the voice actors do a wonderful job.  The addition of Sacha Baron Cohen as self-appointed The King Of The Lemurs is what really tips the humor scale from great to unforgettably hilarious.  Your kids will love this film without a moment of hesitation and you will find yourself enjoying it as well.

This film makes the perfect Escape!
