Manny's Green Team

Teaching the next generation to take care of Mother Nature is one of the most important responsibilities my generation has as it continues to grow older.  We need to stress the importance of recycling, of not succumbing to the disease of affluenza, of focusing on the earth as being a special place we should respect.  So far, the signs are good that humanity will become more and more aware of the damage we are inflicting and that we will take the steps necessary to undo our earth-murder.  Now there’s a DVD that will only continue that trend and it’s available now!

Starting this March 31st, now available on DVD from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment comes the next collection of episodes from everyone’s favorite handyman.  Handy Manny – Manny’s Green Team is ready to hammer out of your television screen and fix up a great look at life and ecological happiness in your living room.  Bring home this fantastic collection today!

When you break something, you’ve got a friend in Manny Garcia from Sheetrock Hills.  He and his band of trusty tools, Pat, Felipe, Turner, Stretch, Rusty, Squeeze and Dusty, will help you to get everything back to the way it should be.  They teach lessons of friendship and cooperation along with some great Spanish.  In this collection of episodes, Manny and his speaking tools set out to rescue some endangered turtles, fix a chandelier, learn about solar power and so many other exciting green activities.  The episodes included in this DVD are “Saving The Turtles,” “Manny Goes Solar,” “Science Fair,” “Light Work” and “Bloomin’ Tools.”

The special features included in this DVD are a great feature called “Livin’ La Vida Verde” in which you and your children will be able to explore Manny’s workshop and discover all the different items that can be recycled or reused along with a green checklist from Manny that will help show you many different and easy ways to be environmentally friendly.

I had never heard of this show before I watched this collection of episodes, so imagine my surprise when I hear the dulcet tones of Wilmer Valderrama coming from my television screen.  He does a great job and this is a very interesting show.  I even learned a few things about solar power as much has changed in that field since I first studied it back in elementary school.  The lessons taught in this show about going green are all very valuable and easy enough for kids to help with them.  I thought this was a fantastic show and this would be at the top of my list for shows my children should watch if indeed I had any.  The talking tools are charming and the entire premise of the show is nothing but delightful.  I enjoyed this show and I’m sure your children would as well.

Your kid’s friends will be Green with envy.
