Season One

As much as I love law and order, and especially rule of law (Bush Administration, take note of that fact), I have always wanted to be able to simply flaunt the laws and get away with it.  That was one of the best parts of college, when I knew all the RAs and was never in trouble for anything, no matter what I did.  Of course, in the real world, that never happens unless you’re fantastically well-connected and rich.  Currently, I am neither of those things and seriously doubt I ever will be.  Yet now we all have the chance to take a look inside the lives of a group of people who can, and do, get away with anything.

Starting this September 16th, now available in a DVD boxed set from ABC Studios and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment comes the first season of the captivating story about one of the richest families in the nation.  Dirty Sexy Money – The Complete First Season Exposed is ready to burst into your living room on a wave of the filthy rich and their lascivious lifestyles.  Bring home this fascinating show today!

This juicy show is made up of ten hour-long episodes.  It is the story of Nick George, a powerful lawyer who is in charge of keeping the whole Darling family out of trouble.  It’s a very fiscally rewarding job, but it keeps Nick busy all the time.  From a dissolving fourth marriage to losing a real estate magnate’s key piece of property, this show is a dirty and fun romp through the lives of the super rich.  The all-star cast of this show is anchored by Peter Krause, Donald Sutherland, Billy Baldwin and Natalie Zea.

The special features included in this DVD boxed set are a featurette about how episodes are made and an intimate look behind the scenes, a fascinating tour of the mansion used for the Darling family which is actually built on a soundstage, a featurette about the clothes they use to make the actors seem rich, a look into the career of transgender actor Candis Cayne, an optional audio commentary from creators and stars of the show, a selection of deleted scenes and a whole reel of bloopers.

This show is deliciously decadent.  Yes, it’s morally reprehensible and sleazy and it’s completely fascinating.  I love Billy Baldwin, especially since his delightful role in The Squid And The Whale (“It’s cool, my brother”).  I can’t express enough that you should watch and will enjoy this show.  If you’re a religious fundamentalist, you sure won’t like it, but it’ll give you something to really rant about when you’re deciding what to order a fatwa on.  So, all in all, I recommend this show because it’s a delectable romp in what makes America so uniquely American.

This show is nothing but Sexy.
