A lawsuit relating to asbestos exposure has been filed by two military airmen who served in Iraq and in Afghanistan. The lawsuit has been filed against four defence contractors, who stand accused of burning trash containing asbestos and various other toxic materials, which the airmen say exposed them to dangerous toxins.
The two personnel involved in the legal action are Staff Sgt. Wendy L. McBreairty and Senior Master Sgt. Glen S. Massman. The defendant companies that have been named in the lawsuit are KBR Inc., Haliburton, Kellogg, Brown & Root Services, and Kellogg, Brown & Root, LLC.
The lawsuit claims that the companies burned buiilding debris and insulation that contained asbestos as well as other toxic substances, as well as tires and other vehicle parts that could also contain asbestos. The burning took place in large pits near to the military base, according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit goes on to state that these fires generated toxic smoke, and that this was then inhaled by those at the military base, putting them at risk of dangerous levels of exposure to asbestos dust and fibers as well as other hazardous chemicals.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackNow, are their any medicial issues with these airmen; or this a “they could of hurt me” lawsuits? I have respect for everyone who served in the military and hope this isn’t just an attempt to make money.
To Settlement Loans,
This is SSgt Wendy McBreairty and no, this is not an attempt to make money. This is an attempt to get the use of these burnpits stopped before 100s, maybe even 1000s of more troops suffer from medical issues due to breathing in the fumes from the burnpits. I myself have MS, rheumatoid athritis, psoriasis and sever dry eye. There are many symptoms, even involving cancer and trops have died from health issues since returning from war. visit http://www.burnpits.org to learn more.
Thank you
