Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh leaves for Guinea Bissau today, reveals well placed statehouse sources. The President who is on an official visit to Bissau, would be accompanied by a high powered delegation. Statehouse sources say due to insecurity, The Gambian leader could not travel to Bissau as scheduled in the past. His Bissau trip has been finalized.

It would be recalled that the Guinean leader Neino Veira visited Banjul recently. Reports say The Gambian leader is working running a private business in Bissau. Our sources would not reveal, what the said business is all about, but hinted that the two leader had reached a joint venture deal.

 President Jammeh owns estates in Morocco and Guinea Conakry, where his wife’s parents hailed from. He also owns overseas bank accounts, according to official sources.

The President leaves Banjul today for Bissau. He is expected back home during the weekend.
