For over 2 years now the police have been searching for a little girl, Haleigh Cummings from Satsuma, Florida. The news of Haleigh missing hit national news and the longer the case remained unsolved the more of a fiasco the whole case became. People have turned on other people, not only within family and friends but also people online turning against fellow bloggers that they have never met.

Haleigh’s father, Ronald Cummings and his ex-wife, Misty Croslin and Misty’s brother Tommy Croslin along with two others have since been sentenced to long terms in jail on drug related charged but some seem to think that, although there has not been any charges on anyone for what happened to Haleigh, the ones responsible are now behind bars.

Is this justice for Haleigh? I say no. Something happened to this child and no one is talking. Are the investigators looking in the right direction? Do they have the right ones behind bars? These are questions that still remain a mystery to everyone and until they are answered she will get no justice.

To begin with Haleigh Cummings has not been found yet, so who but the one responsible knows for sure that she is dead. The police department says they believe Haleigh is gone so they are treating the case like a homicide case but they have promised to not let the case slip into the cold case files.

Yesterday reports came out that a human skull had been found off a boat ramp in Satsuma which I am sure caused a lot of excitement in the town. Back in April of 2010, the police spent three days searching for Haleigh around a boat ramp so this would be reason enough to tense up.

As it turns out though, the skull reported found ended up not being a human skull. It was a plastic replica of a human skull, something like a skull used to decorate for Halloween.

Now is this good news or not? It depends on how you would look at it. If you look at it one way, it could be bad news, meaning that Haleigh is indeed gone. The family would be forced to accept that she is gone. Now though, they are back to how they were the day before yesterday… not knowing where she is, not knowing for sure if she is alive and well or if she is actually gone for good but they still can hold onto that shred of hope that she is alive and one day will be able to come home to them.

If this were my own child missing I don’t know how I would react. I do know that my heart and prayers go to the family of Haleigh Cummings. I can only imagine what the “not knowing” either way is doing to you.

Keep Haleigh in your prayers please. Remember her and others like Adji Desir and Zachary Pittman too please. They all need your prayers and their families as well. We must not forget them and the hell they must be going through just “Not Knowing” May God be with them all.
