In a couple of days Haleigh Cummings will have been officially missing for four months. Four months is a long time. Too long for this to be a kidnapping, either the girl is dead, or she is alive and well, and living somewhere else.

Our panel this week consisted of Jan Barrett, Ms. Pickles, TJ Hart, and Cobra Staubs.

The hot, well, lukewarm news out of Putnam County Law Enforcement was a Press Release issued on Friday.

We press types love to dissect ‘press releases’, you can garner a great deal of information from these ‘supposedly’ well crafted pieces of paper. This particular press release seems to open up a can of worms.

Here we are, four months after the event, evidence collected from the original investigation has still not been analyzed, and 4000 leads have not been followed up on yet! This in my mind is disgraceful.

If you read the press release carefully, it also seems to spread the guilt for the inaction. There are several agencies involved, and communication between them may be a bit of an issue. At least that is the way I see it.

Usually it is Cobra that causes the ruckus, and he is damn good at it! But this week it was TJ, the man was hot under the collar. I class TJ and Cobra as good friends, and when they speak I listen.

The Haleigh Cummings case has us all on edge. The various agencies involved do not seem to all be using the same play book. Here we are four months into the investigation, and no-one seems to be any the wiser as to what happened to Haleigh Cummings.

You can listen to the entire show here.

I will also share something that was not talked about on air, Haleigh is just one of many missing children. We want to raise awareness. No, we are not going to start another silly foundation. But we are going to try and find a way to produce some proactive rather than reactive articles in the press. There are plenty of folks out there that want to help, and there are some fine organizations that can offer the physical help. If we can help just one child we have done something.

I do know that Cobra is having a hard time, so if any of you fat cats have a few grand you could shoot his way, it likely would move this case forward. Give me a holla and I’ll connect you up with him. Unfortunately the people that want to give Cobra some money are the people that can least afford it. He does not want your grocery money! What he wants is your thoughts and prayers.
