It was another lively Sunday afternoon. This week our panel consisted of the Barrett’s, Denny Griffin, TJ Hart, and William “Cobra†Staubs.
We began the program with a quick update on a Miami case. Miami Beach police officer Adam Tavvs is accused of killing two unarmed men in the space of four days, Hussein Shehada and Lawrence McCoy. We ran a radio special on this horrific story some weeks ago. Last week I heard that CNN had finally decided to do a segment on the Tavvs case, this sounded like great news. At last it would get some richly deserved press exposure. Boy was I in for a shock, this was an incredibly one sided pro Miami Beach Police piece. It could have come straight out of the PR department. My inbox has been busy with complaints about the segment from people close to the case, including Samer Shehada who was an eye witness to the execution of his brother.
To redress the one sided CNN report we will be scheduling another radio program, tentatively for Sat Sept 19, I will put up an article when we have it confirmed. Panelists will include Samer Shehada, attorney John Contini, investigator lee Cohn, and others.
We also briefly spoke about the Caylee Anthony case, and the events of the past week. The most notable of which was the prosecution trying to force the defense to reveal their evidence that the body of Caylee Anthony was moved after Casey Anthony was behind bars. This, Baez claims, proves Casey’s innocence. This sounds lacking in logic in my mind, but I guess they are grasping at straws.
The bulk of the program concerned the recent events in the Haleigh Cummings disappearance. This case is now in its seventh month and the little girl is still missing. There has been some movement in recent weeks, and the heat has been turned up considerably on teen bride and step mother Misty Croslin-Cummings. While not considered a suspect she is thought to be the key to resolving the case.
Tempers are also getting frayed with the Croslin family, with a Restraining Order being made last week by Misty against her brother Hank.
The Croslin’s also seem to be on the verge of pulling up stakes and moving to Massachusetts, for economic reasons. Read into that what you will.
It was an active week and TJ Hart did a fabulous job of bringing us up to date, and fielding the sometimes difficult questions from our callers.
You can catch the entire program here.

Brandon was trying to leave the area when he was blocked in by a large suv and a pickup truck. In summary seven.40 caliber casings from officer,s guns were found inside there Dodge Durango, and 46 additional casings. We know Brandon was shot over 40 times. Family does not belive police had the right to do what they did to Brandon. He was his mothers only child as she had lost an older son to canser. We the family belive Brandon did not know thats these people were police officer,s they were in unmarked cars and trucks. This story never made world news. Brandon was only 23 years old at the time of his death.
Mr. Barrett, could you please look into the murder of Pastor Jonathan Ayers? He was shot and killed by plain clothes officers getting out of a black Escalade in broad daylight. This was caught on store cameras. They even admitted that he was not under investigation for anything, that they just wanted to talk to him. The Pastor is survived by his pregnant wife and parents. This happened in Georgia, around the same location where a man walking down the street unarmed had his eye beaten out by police because he refused to produce ID because he hadn’t done anything wrong. Georgia is full of glorified Gestapo officers. Thank you for all that you do. Keep up the good work, love your articles and programs. Was a huge fan of Sean Krause too! Keep his spirit alive!
ntl,
Pastor Jonathan Ayers can be seen on Video trying to run over a cop as he attempted to flee the scene. Prior to this he was in the car with a known prostitute and drug dealer. It’s all on video.
“Boy was I in for a shock”
Told you so. Teflon Miami.
dick tracy you have video or link !!
i found it looks like he ran from them after several attempts to have him surrender… open shut case!!!
ntl,
I agree, something wasn’t right about that. With all the people who try to impersonate officers, I would not have stopped either if people in plain clothes came running up to my car like that. Those officers should have got him before he got into his car. Common sense tells you not to get around a moving car. ATL area officers are too quick to shoot. It reminds me of Kathryn Johnston, I think was her name and the gwinnett officer who was bullying a waiter at the waffle house and tased him. We need to send a message that there will be zero tolerence for Bad Cops.
John googled you great site!!! very interesting
