You can find out at 3pm central on Sunday Jul/25.
We will be running our regular program, and our panel will be all of our regulars. Simon and and Jan Barrett, ace reporter TJ Hart for the Sky 97.3, investigator Peter Hyatt, author and Crime Doctor Denny Griffin, reporter Dave Knechel, and it is also rumoured that our good friend William Cobra Staubs may be making a ‘Drive By’.
It has been an interesting week in all three cases. Obviously the hot topic in the Haleigh Cummings case is that now Misty Croslins parents will no longer have to pay the extortionate rates demanded by PayTel. Both Hank and Lisa Croslin have joined the rest of the family behind bars. In what BNN is being told by sources we cannot name, they were picked up in a sting operation on Friday evening. They are both charged with attempting to purchase Cocaine. Both are currently being help on $5004 bonds. I am pretty sure that Timmy Croslin’s Tax Refund check is long gone, so it would seem likely that the pair will be spending some considerable time behind bars. If I was a cynic I might be tempted to ask the question, if they could not afford the gas money to visit daughter Misty, and they were supposedly homeless, where do they get money for cocaine? With Thanksgiving only 4 months away, could this be the biggest family gathering in years?
The Caylee Anthony case also had some interesting developments. Our favorite Attorney that obviously suffers from ADHD has once again changed tactics. Personally I think he just needs to up his Ritalin dosage! The new target seems to be George Anthony. Well, he tried the Zanny the Nanny tactic, then the boyfriend Jessie Grund, even Jessie’s father Richard Grund. Oh and we cannot forget his futile attempts at sticking meter reader Roy Kronk with the crime.
This week say two big shifts, suddenly he is backing off from wanting the Texas Equusearch records. My guess is that they revealed something that did not help. Instead he has been poking around in the supposed suicide attempt by George Anthony. This seems like a fruitless investigation, George can’t even fart in bed without Cindy’s OK. Pinning this on George is a bit like winning the $100 million PowerBall.
There are also some stories swirling around that George has decided to stop sending money to Casey Anthony’s jail account. Maybe he thinks she is putting on a tad too much weight?
The search for Zachary Pittman has also been a curious week. Curious as in no-one is saying anything. Jan and I spoke with his mother Christy Ragas yesterday, she has put in numerous calls to the lead detective on the case, Corey Crowe, he has not returned a single call in almost a month! I have to ask the question, how difficult is it to carve out one minute and call?
BNN has been in the trenches on this case. We are beginning to see a picture. This is a case that many people want to see go cold, the quicker the better! BNN is preventing that process.
As we publish this article , there are more nuggets of information coming to fruition. Most revolve around the Mayor of Pearl River. There are no reasons to implicate him directly, but his sons name Ricky Lavigne keeps popping up. I also got wind of another ‘rumour’ concerning a son-in-law. We do have a well known PI on the research. I am hardly difficult to reach, but Mayor James Lavigne has made it a mission to avoid me. It is an election year, so maybe he assumes that no-one in Pearl River has internet access, no-one will read what I write?
Sorry James, but unless you create the Great Firewall of Pearl River the information is out there.
I do hope that you will all be tuning in to the program, the direct link is here.

Casey is keeping her weight down remarkably well.
I think California needs to readajust their prisoner menus after seeing Melissa Huckaby
however
LMBO fart in bed without Cndy’s knowledge! I love it! This case should be hold at the Ringling Bros Barnum and Bailey Circus! 🙂
Keep on the mayor Simon, I would love to see the look on his face if you want to a town meeting. Wait maybe hed send the kkk on you…
It would be funny if everyone except the mayor showed up wearing sheets.
Cynical Simon = FUNNY!
Casey is keeping the weight down cuz Big Daddy isnt putting in a C note every week or so for those cheesy nacho puffs and slim jims. Yes indeedy, where is all that prrof you yammered about, Boez? Show us this proof you blantanly stated you have, then maybe well give you a wisp of credibility.
Simon, you slay me with your uncanny wit! I needed a good laugh today and you sure provided a good one. Touche!
OMG! I dont take this KKK stuff in jest, but after what that stoopid doofus said, it is appropo, everyone should a least wear all white, just for effect. The idiot should not only be horsewhipped for such a vile statement, but also and immediately thrown out on his butt and put in jail.
Someone who is not Zach’s mother should call Corey Crowe. Spring some good questions on him unprepared.
Hello Jan,an Simon.
I surly want to hear the show tomorrow.Ive missed a few.I had to wait on a part for my puter to come in,an i just took a long needed rest from blogging. But im back,an interested in whats been going on.I hope the two of you have been doing well,as well as all the bloggers,an those who all being somthing to the table on your show.
I Just spoke to Hank,an Lisa for several days before their arrest, they were pretty low in spirits cant say i didnt see this comming/because i did.But it will truly be better for them to get it all over with.Get the time done from the probation,an what ever time that will most likly run together with it.Food shelter, stress off them for a while.Other than just getting dryed out,an all this behind them..A new start when they serve their time,an get out.I will say that couple married for better /or worse, they stayed together!!!
Jan57,
Where were they living before the arrest? How were they surviving $ ?
I have not posted a comment in a very long time. When I did, I posted as Justice. I am the Justice that would use to post links in some of my comments.
There were others using the name Justice and it created confusion. So, with Jan’s permission, I have changed my user-name to Ann-Tx.
I am looking forward to Sunday’s radio show. It should really be interesting.
Jan57 at 12:21 a.m., I agree with you about Hank and Lisa. On some of the jail videos (visits with Misty and Tommy), Hank appeared to be really stressed with their situation. I remember him stating problems with money, food, having to live in a shelter, his health (pain), not being able to find a job, gas, etc.
I think being in jail may not be a bad thing for them. As you stated, they will have food, shelter and I think tons of stress lifted “from their shoulders.”
Maybe they wanted to get caught so they could go to jail, serve their time and not have the stress of wondering where their next dollar and meal will come from. I hope when they get out, they make the effort to seek a fresh start.
All of the above is just my opinion.
Jan57, I would use to chat with you on TCD several months ago. I hope all is going well for you.
Jan and Simon, thanks for the articles. I am really interested in the Zachary Pittman/Pearl River case. It is commendable of you to get involved and attempt to motivate Law Enforcement (LE). There is no telling what you might uncover regarding why LE has not put major emphasis on this case. I think the mayor of Pearl River should have the courtesy and decency to return your calls. I look forward to your updates regarding this case and of course Haleigh (including the side shows)!
Hi, Ann-Tx (formerly “justice”)! It’s so good to see you! I was just thinking about you the other day. I can’t believe it! Hope you’re doing well and will be able to stick around and post when you can. Hope you know that your comments, info and links were/are always much appreciated!

Hi, Jaba!
I hope Jan57 does not mind me responding to your question. Hank, Sr. and Lisa were staying at a boarding house in Putnam County.
Here is a Link to a story and video which was on News4Jax on May 7, 2010. At the top of the article, click on “Video”.
The video is an interview with Hank, Sr. It shows the inside of the one room they called home at the boarding house. It is an interesting interview.
Also, click on Slideshow. There are pictures, which you may have already seen, pertaining to the Haleigh Cummings case.
If you are interested in reading previous articles related to Haleigh’s case, click on ‘Related’.

Hi, m2c! What a pleasant surprise! It is so nice to see you too!
Even though I have not posted in a very long time, I always read Jan and Simon’s articles and listen to their radio show on Sunday.
As usual, I really enjoy reading your comments. I missed you too! I noticed you weren’t posting real often for a while but I have seen your comments again.
m2c, if you have not seen the interview with Hank, Sr., you might want to check it out. It is from May 7. Here is a direct link to the video.

I will try to post when I can. Hope to chat with you soon!
m2c, I know you appreciated the info and the links. You always thanked me.
Ann-Tx, thank you for that link, too. It is SO sad. Hank Sr says, “You take it one day at a time and hope you can make it through that day.”
I can’t help but feel compassion for them. Addiction is an awful, evil thing and to struggle against it is probably harder than I can ever imagine. I truly hope they both get real help now that they’re in jail.
Does anyone know if some kind of drug rehab program is available to them in jail?
Thanks, Ann.
–
I was hoping jan57 had some more info to share from her talk since it was more recent than early May. I wonder if things had changed and how they were getting by?
I wonder if they have been paid by any reporters for interviews or has hank been getting unemployment or just how they are making ends meet.
m2c,you are welcome re the Link.
I think it is a very sad video especially of Lisa and Hank in their tiny room. I noticed they don’t have very many clothes in the closet.
Like you, I feel compassion for them also. I am an empathetic person and the struggle of their addiction and related problems (no home, money, food, etc.) must be overwhelming.
It is commendable that Hank has stayed with Lisa. He could have just walked away years ago. I noticed in one of the jail videos, he stated that he was going to need money to pay on Lisa’s fines, etc.
I think it was nice that he made every effort to visit Tommy and Misty at St. John’s. Money for gas to get there was a concern.
I am grateful I do not have an addiction. It must be a constant struggle and something beyond my imagination.
Jaba,
You welcome! Did you think the video was interesting? I think it is sad to be in that position.
Perhaps when Jan57 checks in again she can share more info with us. I would use to chat with Jan57 on another blog and she is wonderful about sharing information. She is a compassionate person. She has visited many in prison over the years. A few months ago, she stated in a comment that she offered Hank and Lisa to come live with her for a while. She lives in South Carolina if I remember correctly. Hank and Lisa were not allowed to leave Florida at the time. Also, they wanted to be there for Misty and Tommy.
I assume they were still staying at the boarding house prior to their arrest. It is my understanding they were going to stay in Putnam County because of Lisa’ probation and Hank’s doctor shopping case. I don’t know Florida law but in Texas they would not be able to relocate out of county unless it was legally approved.
Should be Lisa’s probation. What happened to my ‘s? Sorry about that!
Morning to everybody,
You would think there would be some form of Detox program in jails. How could you try and cure an illness without proper diagnosis and treatment? Sometimes I think as far as some drug related arrests go, the punishment doesnt suffice the crime itself. True, drug related offences are crimes but throwing people in jail and letting them sit there is not the best way to treat the problem. I think it should be mandatory upon arrest that drug treatment would be instituted while incarerated.
The Croslins might be a lot of things, but they tried their best, they kept the family together through thick and thin, but with the trouble their kids are in, I can see how this happened. you can be wealthy or you can be poor, fact is this kind of tragedy tears people apart and I can imagine it is pretty stressful and desitating to go through.
Hi, LadyDay (9:35 a.m.)!
I agree with you especially your last paragraph.
I could not have said it better!
I know in the Texas prisons (not county jail), there are drug “rehab” programs available. I had a friend whose son had an alcohol addiction since he was 18. He had difficulty keeping a job. He had numerous DWI’s and PI’s. Texas has stricter laws than a few years ago. At the age of 31, he ended up in a Texas prison for 2 years
as a result of a car accident (DWI).
He came from a prominent family and money could not buy him out of prison. He had to serve the full 2 years and participated in several programs. He is married with 2 children. His absence almost tore the family apart. He came out a changed man though. Does not drink, has a steady job and is a wonderful family man.
You are so right when you state you can be wealthy or poor! In the Croslin case, it is a tragedy because of Haleigh, Misty and Tommy.
I agree, LadyDay. I just don’t know how most jails work. If most of them have the resources to provide help. Seems like they should.
Believe me I do NOT follow Lindsey Lohan’s trainwreck er umm life and career, but it was impossible to miss the news about her being sent to jail. What really puzzles me is that the judge sentenced her to 90 days jail (probably less due to overcrowding but that’s up to the jail) and THEN, AFTER that, to 90 days inpatient rehab. I wonder why the rehab would happen after sitting in jail and would there be any help for her while she was in jail? I don’t know what her addiction is -drugs or booze or what – but whichever it is, why have rehab after jail?
LadyDay,
Maybe a person that lives in Florida and is familiar with Florida jails/prisons might be able to share info with us if they are knowledgeable about rehab programs, etc.
Lyndsay was sentence for a dui she didn’t complete probation for. She was also caught with cocaine after the intitial dui incident.
She needed to pay, as you or I would, for the dui that could have killed someones family member.

Ann,
I’ve seen jan post here since coming on a few months ago. I think she has good intentions.
I think h and l would have been a nightmare to live with in their state of mind, but if someone is willing to help them, then more power to them. That’s very noble of them to offer.
Lohan and croslin have the same out of control issues. One drives a mercedes and one is on foot. No difference in behavior, imo, except the places they do it at and the value of the clothes on their backs. Makes no difference to me. We need them all to fall in line and get right before they hurt someone.
As far as Lindsay Lohan goes, Im sorry but I dont know what exactly it is that she actually does to be famous, except to get into all these drug and alcohol related problems. Shes a beautiful girl with a career most people would give their eye teeth for, but get messed up with those drugs, thats a sure fire way to kill any career and kill yourself. Same as for Whitney Houston. Another beautiful lady with a tremendous talent, almost lost it all, but did reclaim her life back, one day at a time. I guess their lives are too stressful to be able to cope so someone says here, take this, youll feel better and the downward cycle begins.
I would think at the very least jails must give some kind of medication to quell the side effects of coming down off a drug, but is that where it stops? I think a more aggresive approach would do better. Why wait. Wasted time in jail would be better served getting these drug addicts quickly into treatment, theyre not going anyplace anyway, so why not just do it.
Still amazes me how low some of the bail amounts are for FL. when it relates to drugs. most of them get turned out, I mean like the ones who have the meth labs, but here are the Croslin kids and Ronald, half of what they were delaing is pittance, some of it was brought by UC, makes no sense why their bail is so high.
jaba said,in July 25th, 2010 at 8:46 am Thanks, Ann.
jaba: The last paragraph of your comment at 8:46.
I wonder if they have been paid by any reporters for interviews or has hank been getting unemployment or just how they are making ends meet.
********
jaba: To my knowledge, local media does not pay for interviews. It has been reported that the national media did not pay the Anthony’s for their interviews. They paid licensing fees. The Anthony’s provided photos of Caylee and some of Casey & Caylee. In other words, they sold photos! They can call it what they want. It is a round about way of being paid for an interview. Just my opinion!
Also, did you read the interview that Cindy Swirko, Staff Writer, with The Gainesville Sun, Gainesville, Fl. did with Hank Croslin, Sr. It was published on May 27, 2010? I think it was a five or six page article. Very informative.
I think you will find how he has been making ends meet in the article.
If you have not read it and are interested in reading it, let me know. I’ll post a link for you.
I believe that after the May 7th news clip of Lisa and Hank in the boarding house, they had even lost that and were living at a church shelter. Hank was waiting to hear about his unemployment extension, but did not qualify for disability as he had been cleared by doctors to go back to work. He had been unable to find work either because the construction industry in the area is in a severe depression or because he just wasn’t bothering to look.
Hi there. First time poster here. Nice to meet you all. My heart goes out to Hank Sr. & Lisa. If 2 of my kids were in the mess their kids are, I think I’d do coke too. LOL I think they both have good hearts and may have just thrown in the towel and said “fine, I’ll take jail for a while”. The stress on them must be horrible. I think Misty and Tommy are messed up with this Haleigh thing up to their eyeballs. I pray someone tells something…..soon.
Just recently found this site and have been spending a lot of time listening to previous broadcasts. Very interesting. Love your radio show Jan and Simon and looking forward to hearing the broadcast tonight. Thanks for all you do.
Hi Lady….I thought I heard Hank Sr. say to Tommy that the doctor said he is unable to work.
From what I understood prior was that H and L were living at the church and they were getting some type of assitance, but the church took some of that money, not exactly to keep for themsleves, but to help defray costs and bank the rest for H and L. upon completiton of some program, they would get part of that money back to assist with getting them back in their own housing, etc.
With the way things are with no work for a lot of people, and the situation the Croslins are faced with, it is beyond depressing. Truly a very sad situation all the way around.
Ann,
Haven’t read that. Post a link and I will.
I thought jan57 may have the most current information on them based on her post.
When DNA samples are taken from a person, you can tell if that person is a bi-product of incest. Why was Lee’s DNA tested, (which incidently his came out negative)? The motive: Check Georges DNA! I don’t think George had anything, as far as hands on, to do with Kaylee’ death, but I do believe that she was a constant reminder and a tool for control, that came from a family’s dirty little secret. Cindy has always been hateful and seemingly disgusted with her husband and daughter, for a very long time. Then you have a suicide attempt, think about it, what would a person do if they feared the world found THAT out.Oh and don’t forget the jail tapes with the meely mouth, kissing up to Casey. UGH!!
Hello Barbface,
Welcome! I’m a newbie as well. It’s good to make your acquaintance.
jaba,
Here is the Link to the article in The Gainesville Sun I referenced in my 10:57 a.m. comment:

You will have to click on to the next page at the bottom of the article, i.e., 2, 3 etc.
I would think Jan57 has very current info if Hank disclosed it to her. I know on the other blog, a few months ago, she shared some info with us but at Hank’s request she could not divulge all of their conversation.
_________
Welcome to the newbies . . . Barbface, browneyes and others as well! You will enjoy this site. Jan and Simon does a great job of keeping us updated and the posters here make great comments!
Ann, thx for the link.
🙂
I’m thinking jan57 talked to them a few days ago and they were of low spirits and she saw this latest issue coming. I’m sure there is more to the story that she led with. I hope she will respond as she has in the past. I like hearing thius stuff first hand without reporters tweaking a story to make headlines. I think j57 would tell it like it is, instead of a fabrication of a tale that we r used to getting sometimes.
Good article Simon. I hope you continue to be like a dog with a bone on Mayor James Lavigne until he thinks you are a thorn in his side.
Sure does sound like he wants this to be a cold case.
Will have to listen to the show later, I’ve been sitting for my grand dog this weekend.
Wow, I didn’t know Hank & Lisa were in jail. I’m way behind on the news. I do feel bad for them. I surely don’t understand how cocaine would help them with stress though and it sure isn’t free, so are they trying to make money to live or what? Not that that is acceptable, but more understandable.
Hope to listen & check back later. Miss you all.
jaba (3:55 p.m.),
YW! Yes, I hope Jan57 will be able to share more of her Croslin conversation with us. You are right . . . Jan57 does tell it like it is. It is nice of her to take the time to share with us.
It is nice to hear it “first hand” unlike a reporter who might tweak the story or slant it. Also, the media has limited space to publish an article and the TV stations have only 1 to 3 minutes (maybe more; maybe less – live coverage during scheduled newscast) to cover a story!
jaba, let’s hope Jan57 will see our interest in her Croslin conversation and she shares additional info with us!
Jan57, where are you?
Just got finish listening to the Radio Show. It was a great show!
Thanks for the warm welcome. Nice to meet you too Browneyes.
Ann….Is Jan57 Simon’s wife? If not, how does she have contact with the Croslin’s?
Hi,Barbface (6:51 p.m.),
Jan57 is a lady who comments on this site. She contacted Hank and Lisa Croslin a few months ago and has kept in touch with them according to her comments on here and another blog. She has commented about some of her conversations with the Croslin’s on previous articles by Jan or Simon Barrett.
Jan57 is not Simon’s wife. To avoid confusion with Jan, Simon’s wife, Jan57 uses 57 with her name Jan …..Jan57.
Thank you Ann. I hope Jan57 shows up also. I’m curious what she has to say.
I just listened to the show and it was great as usual. I REALLY wish we could get those tapes. That’s what I want for Christmas….I won’t ask for anything else….I promise. LOL
Yes, Welcome to this Blogsite, Barbface! Im sort of new as well, but this is a very nice and informative place, to glean, gather and share ideas or thoughts. Very nice group in here.
Id like to hear these tapes as well. I just cant believe all this time that Boez has wasted on frivilous stuff when he could have start planning his defense a little better, not this 3 party and obviously low rate, low rent type of information. I bet he is trying to hide something real dishy, like usual.
Barbface,
I know Jan57 will show up and surprise us!
I bet she will be surprised that she is in demand . . . for info regarding her Croslin phone call.
Yes, I wish Simon and Jan could get the tapes. Without other media groups sharing the expense, I understand why Simon and Jan can not afford to get them.
Perhaps some of the larger media groups such as the TV stations and newspapers might show an interest if numerous folks e-mailed them requesting the tapes. They only show “snippets” but Jan and Simon provided tapes in their entirety (minus LE redaction).
I would really like to listen to the most recent tapes. I bet they are interesting to say the very least!
Thanks so much for Sunday’s show. The discussions were very interesting. All of the cases are so frustrating, but at least Caylee’s case look like something is moving forward, with no help from her family, but that’s no surprise.
I’m afraid Zach’s case is similar to Haleigh’s case, locationwise, in a small town most everyone knows everyone else. Very difficult to work against.
All I know is poor Haleigh didn’t stand a chance with the people she was surrounded by, and am amazed that any child in those families lives to adulthood. They must have to be born tough just to survive. What a horrible shame. If someone would have taken Haleigh to save her from them, I wish her little brother had been taken, too.
Thanks for the show.
Hi, LadyDay!
Welcome to you also! I see there are a lot of new people here.
I have not posted here in a long time but I always read the articles by Jan and Simon and listen to their Radio Show.
You are right. This is a very nice place and very informative.
I have been following the Casey Anthony Case and Haleigh Cummings Case from day one.
In my opinion, Baez has wasted a lot of time and money on frivolous motions, trying to taint the jury pool with throw “Roy Kronk under the bus” and the Texas Equusearch Volunteer personal info… just to name a few! As Casey would say, “What a waste, a huge waste.”
This case should have already gone to trial. I bet if Judge Perry had this case initially, the trial would be a done deal. He is moving this along!
Baez better get with the program and quit fooling around. Judge Perry has established dead lines and Baez better meet them. It is apparent that Judge Perry is adamant about the schedule for Casey’s trial. I think it was an excellent idea for Judge Perry to have status hearings to ensure the State and the Defense are complying with what has been established so this case will go to trial in May, 2011.
Just my opinion!
Good Monday Morning!
Thanks, Ann-TX. I too, have kept up with both cases from Day one, I kick myself now for not joining in here in the begining of the Caylee case, it is one of the best sites for blogging, the posters are pretty well informed and are not just going with any old flow the certain media venues want to throw out to us.
As for Boez, he has done so much this side of being disbarred. The one thing(among others) that got me riled up about him was when he pulled his haughtiness towards Kathi Belich and started to speak in spanish at one of the earlier media interviews. A person, especially a lawyer, cant garner much respect or support when he is being, lets say less than fair to all media. I know he was angry that a lady had nerve to stand up to him, and I can imagine he is beside himself from reading some of the bloggers who have taken time to figure all this out before he put his pen to paper. We are not dummies. We might have different views as to what actually happened, but I think for the most part, we know who did this and it doesnt stray any further than his client and her family.
He really strayed out of his realm as to sticking with facts in favor of throwing other people under that infamous bus that have nothing more to bring to the table except their word which has already been proven and cleared by LE. He is the most unprofessional lawyer I have ever come across, said it before, he makes an Ambulance Chasing lawyer look respectable.
Good Grief – how many generations of the Croslin clan are the Florida tax payers supporting now? And Massachusettes is supporting the rest of them! Will be interesting to see if Timmy will use his welfare check to bail mommy and daddy dearest out of jail. 🙄 I have no sympathy for Hank or Lisa. They are where they belong. They have no intentions of getting their acts together anymore than Misty and Tommy do.
I don’t know how George can afford to put money in Casey’s account anyway. Are either of them (Cindy and George) working? Whatever happened with them losing their house? I never heard anymore about it. What money they do have I suspect is going for Cindy’s prescriptions. And from the looks of her at the last hearing, I’d say she’s on a LOT of them! 😆 Her eyes looked like glazed donuts!
I cannot believe the detective will not call Zach’s mom back!!! 👿 That is just WRONG! What happened to protect and SERVE?! Between this detective and the mayor of Pearl River, it is a wonder anything ever gets done! CORRUPTION!!!!!!!!! Keep the heat on them Simon! Don’t let up! The world is starting to watch and I suspect these two are starting to feel the pressure!
This family has been on a total decline for a number of years.. We were all made aware that both Lisa and Hank Sr. had a drug problem, actually for years prior to moving to Satsuma.. This arrest falls into the criteria of something that was eventually going to happen. Drugs destroy families, incidences that fall into play are part of the destruction. It did not begin to decline when Haleigh went missing, it was the absolute point, nothing could no longer be hidden. Please don’t put words into my mouth, I am not saying these are bad people.. I am saying their habits of destruction are bad, and being caught trying to buy drugs was going to happen, they no longer had grown kids at home to bring the drugs home, and help maintain their secrets. Where did their money come from to buy the drugs? Probably, from Hanks unemployment.. could have been from kind hearted peopled who continue giving donations..
Anyone continuing to send donations to any members of any of the families, if drugs are involved with these families.. then people on the outside are enabling the purchase and the usage of drugs.. Something to think about when your having your morning coffee..
Is Hank in GP with Ron? That might create some fireworks on its own. Hank and Lisa just blew any chance for public assistance with this latest arrest, I would assume. And Hank tried to dispense his fatherly advice to his children about drugs when he can’t seem to stay clean and out of trouble for any length of time himself. Any pity I had for Hank and Lisa has went right out the window with this latest incarceration. I cannot feel sorry for people who won’t even help themselves. Has anyone heard anything about Tommy and Lyndsy’s divorce? Is it final yet? Lyndsy needs to keep her children far away from the Croslin parents, considering the mess their lives have always been and will always be. Timmy and Chelsea need to cut those apron strings too and worry about their children. Its time for Hank and Lisa to fend for themselves and quit depending on someone else to get them out of the mess of their self induced chaotic, drug addicted lives has created. JMO
I dont think Timmy is going to be bailing anyone out of anything. Think those two, especially Chelsea learned to keep their traps shut-Finally. that or the media just dont want to be bothered with them anymore.
Id like to know why George and Cindy have not gone back to any type of employment. It has been 3 years and life does go on, there is no reason for them to sit on their thumbs waiting for another huge payout thats not coming. I know, whod want to hire them now, cant be trusted. I think the house issue could have been settled by restructuring their payments although $700+ dollars a month is pittance compared to some mortgage payments, they thought theyd be on Easy St. by now. Maybe somebody helped them out and brought the payments up to date.
It is a shame about Zac. That whole story is very strange, especially since LE wont at least call his mother. Everybody in life, no matter what they have done or what they could have been involved in should have some dignity shown. Like, if they find a hooker/drug addict dead, first thing they establish is they were less than adequate, makes no difference, they are still human beings.

JMO
**********
Couldn’t agree more regarding Hank and Lisa. In the past I has some “compassion” for them but they just blew that. Not only will they not help themselves, whatever help anyone else has given them they use for the illegal purchase of drugs, grrrrrrrr…. I personally hope they get sentences as long as their childrens, if not longer.
I agree, mlee.
As far as another case is concerned, I am at a total loss to explain why anyone would send commissary money to a child killer. I hope no one does. Caylee didn’t even get to see three candles on her birthday cake. Why should monster be entitled to her treats?
I wonder if Crystal has ever tried to contact Ron or Misty after their drug bust. Has she ever visited Ron or wrote letters? If I was her I would demand some answers from the last people who saw Haleigh. I would set up a meeting through the respective attorneys, and have a sit down talk with Misty or Ron at the jail. Maybe Misty would be willing to spill something if the right person would be asking the questions. Crystal is Haleigh’s mother and I think she could get Misty to open up. Crystal has garnered a lot of sympathy and she needs to use it to her advantage. Since Misty is no longer with Ron in a sense, maybe she can tell what was really happening in the MH. JMO
The Croslin’s are a family that depends on misery. They thrive on it. They say they don’t need to do drugs, and they need to get better. They don’t do better because they are comfortable in their current state of chaos. You see a father who tells his son and his daughter how stupid they were for getting in to this drug dealing mess, but yet they are living that same messed up life. I felt sorry for them when the article came out about their life story, and their lack of money…but they were snorting what money they did have up their noses.
I’ve always hated the expression “Do as I say, not as I do,” because it is a contradiction of terms. Children learn by watching their parents. That expression is a complete cop out. It’s a way for the parent to live by their own rules, but to feel good that they have taught their children better. Sadly it never works, and this kind of thinking needs to be thrown out with all the other old man made cliches.
Anyone who sends Casey money is drinking the Casey kool-aid. They honestly believe she is innocent. There is always a group of people out there who think it is their duty to go against mainstream thinking whether they are wrong or not.
I, for one refuse to blame hank and lisa for misty and tommys problems. It’s true they weren’t the best parents in the world, but there are families out there whos children turned out fine even though their parents were messed up. It’s true children learn what they live, but some children do learn FROM what they live.
I just woke up and forgot to say Good morning all!
You have to fault Hank and Lisa to a certain degree. They failed their children. I by no means would get parent of the year, but my children don’t see me doing drugs, and they would never be allowed to drop out of school.
methinks – ITA – I’ve said it before and it hasn’t always been popular but Tommy, Timmy and Misty ALL had choices. They made poor ones. I’ve seen inner city kids claw their ways out of poverty to go on to Ivy League schools. My son has a friend who just turned 16. His mom is on disability for psych issues. Doesn’t know who is father is. Has three younger siblings which he basically has had to raise. His mom doesn’t always take her meds so sometimes she is depressed and can’t get out of bed, other times she’s throwing things at the kids, screaming and tossing them out of the house in the middle of the night. She’s on husband 6 or 7. The husbands tend to be deadbeats who come and go, abuse the mom and verbally abuse the kids. At least one of the husbands had a terrible drug problem and almost burnt the house down with the kids in it. (And yes, the mother is still allowed to keep these kids after NUMEROUS investigations by child services…go figure!). And yet this young man is a straight “A” student, is in ROTC and plans on joining the service so he can get a college education. This family moves frequently around town when they get booted out for not paying rent. He’s not always sure he’ll have a meal or a place to sleep (Although he knows he is always welcome at our house), but you’ll never meet a more respectful, positive and bright young man in your life. He’s got a younger brother who is getting into drugs, running with a rough crowd, and getting into trouble and this young man worries himself sick over him. But even he knows that it is about choices. He knows his younger brother has to make the right choices and nothing he says or does can ultimately change that. He tries to help his brother but there is only so much he can do.
So here you have a child who has been verbally and probably physically abused, poverty stricken, been around violence, a lot of police interventions, hears nothing but cussing and vulgarity when at home, really had no childhood, but has the most positive outlook on life you’ve ever seen. Has everything planned out, is looking forward to the rest of his life and has BIG plans. And you know, I think he’ll achieve everyone of his plans. It is all about choices.
Misty, Tommy and Timmy had choices. They made the choices and now they have to live with them. Hank and Lisa had choices. They made poor ones and their children suffered for it. And now they have to live with those decisions. But ALL of them can change their lives IF they want to. They just choose not to. Again, it’s about choices.
My son had another friend since grade school. Both parents are doctors. He had everything going for him, a beautiful home, great parents, his sister is in college and about to become a doctor. He has great vacations, great education and yet last year he got on drugs and my son finally severed ties with him. He got into trouble breaking into houses for drug money and is now in juvenile detention. Again, all about choices. It is about personal accountability. Doesn’t matter how you were raised but rather the choices you make with what you’re given (or in some instances not given). JMVHO
I mentioned a week ago that there would be movement in the case. There is more to come, I think. I’m not sure. Again, it will not be directly related to Haleigh, more tangental, but you’ll recognize it when you see it.
Sorry for the long post. I’m a windbag this morning! LOL
GeorgiaBoy – Sure hope so (for movement that is). Would prefer it be about Haleigh. Frankly I’m sick of all the drug arrests and soap opera garbage. FIND HALEIGH ALREADY!
Shockwave- I don’t think Hank or Lisa had much education and I thought I read Hank was from Michigan and Lisa was from Tennesee, now they have their children in Florida and it seems that with the wealth of education in our country that any citizen can come out illiterate is a shame! It seems like many don’t care about school until they are incarcerated and have nothing better to do or may have to work if they don’t attend classes! This is a very sad way for us to educate our citizens.
I think there is plenty of blame to go around for M and T’s choices. I always get worried when it looks like all the blame is placed on just M and T, though. Because that seems to “excuse” lousy, neglectful parenting and uncaring communities, ineffectual social services and other agencies.
Often a lot of things, big and little, come together and add up to tragedy. For us not to learn from that what could have been done differently or better that might have made a difference is a cop-out, a waste, and does nothing to help others or help to prevent similar situations. jmo
m2c – but how do you help people who don’t want to BE helped? People have tried to help Hank and Lisa. I’m sure they’ve been offered all kinds of services, churches have helped them, individuals have helped the, LP even tried to help them. They were happy to take the handouts but did NOTHING to try to better their situation. It is the old “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink” scenario. They’ve been drug kicking and screaming to the water trough over and over and over and they still won’t drink. At what point do you wash your hands of them and move on to help someone who actually WANTS help? At what point are they just wasting resources which could be utilized to help someone who WANTS to better themselves and their situation.
I mean, if we had unlimited resources that would be one thing. But we know that isn’t the case. I don’t know what it will take for these people to get their acts together. This whole situation should have been a big wake up call for them. They had people trying to help them. And all they could think about was their next high. Truly sad.
m2c- we hear a lot about CS’s dad but not much about Ron’s. Had he ever been in his children’s lives?
Ron losing his daughter should have been a wake up call.
Misty losing Haleigh, being under the microscope, her family drug through the mud should have been a wake-up call.
Crystal losing custody to Ron, losing Haleigh, having yet ANOTHER child while on drugs should have been a wake up call for Crystal and I hope it has been…..but I have my doubts.
Hank and Lisa watching their children be arrested, re-arrested, locked up for years, trashed in the media should have been a wake-up call.
What does it take to get these people to wake up and see they are on a downward spiral that only THEY can stop?
JB- I don’t think we ever wash our hands of any of them but I think our Correction Rehab has to be changed. The Courts need to stop Plea Bargains. Each person sentenced can do the full amount of time for all their charges if they do not show improvement in their life. If they meet goals that are set for them, they can get out at the minimum sentence with the others still hanging over them should they go back to their old ways when they get out! All charges would be consecutive, no more concurrent! jmo
Hi, Alex @ 12:02 pm
I don’t know much about it. I think R’s dad dropped out of the picture fairly early on and that R was raised more by AS and his grandpa; was close to him and saddened by his death.
I get the impression that
his real dad has not been much – if at all – involved in R’s life since.
JB @ 12:01 –
I’m talking more about young people like M whose parents let her drop out of school in 6th grade. Kids whose parents let them down like that need the help of others. I don’t understand how the schools, social services, even LE etc can just LET a child just drop out. That’s the moment she needed help if not before – if anyone knew what her home life and parents were like. Her performance in school (grades etc) should have been a big clue.
So that’s what I really mean. I believe that’s when we should put forward the money for the programs to help kids instead of putting out the money to jail them later.
JB @ 12:01pm You said (about Hank Sr and Lisa), “They had people trying to help them. And all they could think about was their next high.”
– – –
I don’t look at it that way. In the past couple of months at least, I think they tried and failed. And that’s what it takes. Trying and failing and trying again and hopefully at some point it will stick. But even then it’s a daily battle – one day at a time.
I think with Hank and Lisa’s situation, living conditions, etc literally “bottoming out,” that they broke, gave in. I’m only hoping that there’s some kind of rehab program in jail and maybe they’ll take advantage of the forced abstinence (reduced temptation) and really give rehab a try. I really hope they’re not just sitting and suffering in their cells. Now would be a good chance to get them into a program of some kind.
m2c- you would think that even if Ron’s dad was out of the picture, the paternal grandparents would want to help and not leave the burden on AS who was dealing with a sick spouse, unless they were also in failing health!
JB and M2C – you are both right:
I heard a wonderful motivational speaker a couple of weeks ago. He is also a Social Worker. This man was abused, saw his mother kill his father (because of spousal abuse), was sexually abused by step fathers, and imprisoned as a juvenile. So, he ought to know. He was saying that he can work with a child forever, but it won’t make a difference until the entire family works together to improve their lives. In so many cases the family doesn’t work together, but you have to keep trying and trying until you get through. Someone gave up on the Croslin children or never even helped in the first place. I guess it is difficult to help everyone at the right time, but Misty is still young and she deserves a 2nd chance. I also say this though, if Misty did in fact kill Haleigh purposely and with hate in her heart…then she needs to be in a place where she can never hurt a child again.
Alexandria Loring – I think sometimes families are just like dominoes, either one good family unit after the other or one bad family unit after the other. It only takes that one person who decides to be different and rise above it all against all odds. How difficult that must be to learn on your own, but it is possible.
Shockwave- I totally agree, and surprisingly a lot of the black sheeps in many families are actually the person who made it out.
By black sheep- I mean one that does not follow in the footsteps laid out for them by family!
Shock – thanks. Not sure there really is a right or wrong answer here. No cookie cutter treatment plan will work for all people or all families. And they have to WANT to change.
I agree Misty needs some rehab and some assistance but I cannot overlook her drug use/sales/purchases and I think she needs to face the music now.
If she did indeed take part in Haleigh’s death, then all bets are off!
I wish there was a simple answer for how to help those who are down and out, on drugs, in abusive situations, etc. The problem is no two people will respond the same way to someone trying to help or to the same rehab program. Some will never change and may not even want to change. Change is scary. As bad as your situation may be, sometimes change is more frightening than your current situation.
Hey m2c – have you heard anything about the Bozo jailhouse call? Has Perry ruled on it yet?
Hi, JB! The last thing I heard about the jail house call was that Bozo had submitted a second motion for the call to be sealed. Claimed it was “work product.” But also asked the judge that if he did not consider it work product, then would he postpone releasing the audio until he (Bozo) had time to investigate it. Well, it’s been two months since the phone call occurred so I have to wonder why Bozo would not have investigated it already – especially if it’s supposedly “work product.”
Also, Judge Perry asked the state to submit their opinion or whatever on the matter. Then I guess he’ll either decide or have a hearing.
I really hope Judge Perry releases the call. There must be something on it that Bozo wants to hide!
Good article about it on orlandosentinel.com.
Just scroll down home page and look on the left for it.
m2c – yeah, just found the article. It sounded like the prosecution was to submit their own motion by sometime today in response to Bozo’s motion…..but I haven’t found anything updated about a hearing to discuss it.
What is Bozo up to? Basically the content of the call has been disclosed already…. and like you said, he’s had the info for two months so why doesn’t he have his PI “investigating” the call instead of checking out Georgie’s no tell suicide motel?
I would really LOVE to know what is on that call that Bozo is trying to keep under wraps?! LOL
Oh, and NEW ARTICLE boys and girls! 😀
robin…
As per Crystal in contact with ron… the rumor mill, has it that she has been in contact with ron.. but its not for answers as per Haleigh gone missing.. it was more in the line of “I love you” type conversations..
How much truth is within these rumors.. I cannot say, but as you all have noticed.. very few of ron’s little video conversations with anyone has been released.. it was suddenly Boom.. nothing at all… Maybe PCSO doesn’t have the capability of putting these nice little segments out.. I don’t know why.. would seem they should. After all I’m sure they do record all conversations going in and out…
JB, I suspect that what Bozo is hiding is not what the jailbird said, but what HE said! LOL!
I don’t know, of course. Whatever it is, he sure seems desperate to keep it quiet.
m2c- you hit the nail on the head. Everyone expects the inmate to say something that would benefit her but Baez’s response will surely be interesting to hear!

I hope the judge says tuff nuggie, Bozo. There is no attorney/client privilege here and dumbbunny should know all calls are recorded and the Sunshine law.
I posted this link in the newer thread, but I think it got overlooked..quite interesting!
http://www.cayleedaily.com/
a shrink and a new DP certified lawyer visiting Casey?
Granny23- Ty- that is very interesting- Do you suppose she is going for a mental illness defense?
No clue, Alex. It sounds to me like Mason may be on the way out..but bringing this psychiatrist in may be more for the sentencing part of the trial. With Bozo’s defense, who knows what they are up to.

Looks like the Ants get to keep their home. They’re so special, you know. Maybe they should get jobs and work like the rest of us! Sheesh!
Ahhhh, poor Casey….her jailhouse account is $41 in the hole! LOL WHY would they let them go in the hole in the first place? I can’t go to the grocery store and purchase more than what I can pay for? Why is she so special? Next thing you know they’ll be issuing credit cards to the inmates and hook them up with QVC and other shopping networks! 🙄

m2c – yes, Bozo probably really put his foot in it. I hope Perry releases the call if for no other reason than to embarrass Bozo.
Vaq – yes, Bozo SHOULD know the law but since he failed the bar exam like 8 times he may still be struggling with this whole attorney / law / legalities / court…thing! LMAO
