The Cape Cod Times are running an article that officers from a Florida Sheriffs office interviewed a local couple about the February 10th disappearance of then five year old Haleigh Cummings. The Cape Cod Times said:
Deputies from a Florida sheriff’s office questioned the local couple yesterday afternoon at the South Yarmouth state police barracks in relation to the Feb. 10 disappearance of Haleigh Cummings, state police Sgt. Robert Finacom said. He referred all other questions to Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe.
Details are sketchy as to the identity of this couple. The South Yarmouth duty officer would not provide any hard information other than confirm that an interview had indeed taken place. He suggested that we should contact the detective involved for any additional information.
The timing of this interview has piqued my interest, if it was merely an anonymous tip, one of the 4000 plus that have been received by the Putnam County Sheriffs Office it would seem unlikely that they would follow it up on a long weekend. So the question becomes, is this a new tip? And if it is, where did it come from? Could it be as a result of the recent round of re-questioning the family members?
The timing also means that the press can effectively be stonewalled until Tuesday, is something afoot?
I have just got off a conference call with TJ Hart and William “Cobra†Staubs, and an interesting but maybe coincidental piece of information came to light. As best we can tell Misty Croslin’s older brother Timmy and his wife moved to Massachusetts some two months ago. Anecdotal stories claim that the move was because the state offered better social programs.
More information when we get it. Hopefully we will have an update for our radio program later today.

Here we go. Let the nots unravel. This is great for Haleigh.
Sorry just got excited!
Yes, Chelsea moved back home like 2 days after having a C Section for the last baby. It’s not been that big of a secret,LOL.
I am just thankful that finally LE is “talking” to people who should have been talked to from day one.
I certainly hope that LE is also making a trip to Kentucky and Virginia. To many people close to this case have left town, and IMO they ALL need to be questioned thoroughly and offered to be given polygraphs.

You really are begging for a law suit, Simon.
What an ass.
Polygraphs… hummm? Polygraphs…
I am very very sure, there will be enought to go around for everyone, even those who have taken them prior….
Peanut, what’s wrong, what is eating at you?
Why was that offensive to you?
I don’t know about better social programs, but MA is where Chelsea is from and she had family there so she went back home.
As per the Mass state benefits website.
What other benefits will I get?
TAFDC recipients also get:
•Health insurance: You will automatically be eligible for health insurance through MassHealth.
•Infant expenses: If you have a newborn baby, you will be eligible for crib and baby supplies up to $300. (You must ask for this benefit before your baby is six months old.)
•Relocation benefits: You will be eligible for up to $1000 for moving expenses if you are moving to permanent housing after living in an emergency shelter, domestic violence shelter, or teen living program for at least 60 days.
•Funeral and burial expenses: You will be eligible for funeral and burial expenses up to $1,100 as long as the total cost does not exceed $1,500 and there are no relatives or friends to pay these expenses.
•Transportation assistance for out-of-state move: You will be eligible for transportation costs if you need to move out of state. However, you will lose your benefits in Massachusetts if you move to another state.
Note: The transportation assistance benefit may be suspended if funds are not available.
•Education, job search, and job training assistance: The Employment Services Program includes basic education such as ESL and GED, short-term skills training, job search, supported work, full employment, community service, and post-employment support services. See below.
•Transportation and child care for working parents: You are eligible for transportation and child care if you are enrolled in a training or education program or if you are working. See Access to Jobs for information about transportation, and DTA Child Care Services for information about child care.
•Supplemental payments: If you are required to turn in monthly income reports and your income drops, you can get a supplemental payment that takes this change into account.
•Clothing allowance: In the month of September you will receive $150 for clothing for each member of your household under 19 years of age.
•Emergency shelter: Some TAFDC recipients will be eligible for emergency shelter through the Emergency Assistance (EA) program. Check with your DTA worker.
You may also be eligible for food stamps, WIC, free school meals, fuel assistance, and other programs available to low-income families.
That’s a whole lot more “bennies” than one will get here in FL.
Maybe they just wanted to get away from the crazy bunch of misfits in their home town,Like Misty and her husband Ronald. After all everyone is looking down on those two.Had these people of taken Haleigh it looks like they would of left along time ago.If they have her where did they keep her hid all this time?Don’t know what they will come up with next.Anyways what ever.
HollysG-mom, thank you for doing that research
and sharing that info. That does prove that
there could be some perks to moving there. It
doesn’t prove that is why they moved there but
it is a possibility. IF I were them I would have
probably wanted to move by her family just to
get away from the stress in Timmy’s. Bottom line
if their hands are clean this questioning will
not hurt them.
So true Treece! I did not necessarily mean that the list of benefits would be the only reason for the move, but does offer some incentives, especially if they moved close to her family. A family here in FL would not recieve as much. Also the amount of cash benefits & FS are a lot more, so I’ve been told in the past. I knew someone yrs ago who suggested such a move based on these social services alone. 3xs as much FS and a least 2xs as much cash.
Also, when does the webcast start?
I knew you didn’t mean that was the only reason.
I was just so glad you posted that in defense of
Simon’s statement about it. The info you provided proved that it could be true. We all want Haleigh found safe & returned but I am
weary of the one’s that have done so much to help her like TJ, Simon, Jan & Cobra being criticized and I appreciated your words. I don’t understand why people want to lash out at them.
I am currently listening to the radio show, and the issue of the percentages has been brought up.. and it dawned on me..
When ron and misty and family saw the 99 or 95 percentages, they were thinking the percentages were in plus.
But the reality is, it was actually negatives. 99% lying, 1% truth.. 95% lying 5% truth.
I rarely get the chance to post on here, but I do read and try to keep up on the case. BNN does a wonderful job providing us with information. In fact, for the most part we get the information here before you hear it on any of the other news networks.
Simon, TJ, Cobra and the rest of the group are doing us a service by providing us with information. I just can’t understand why anyone would want to get on here and bash any one of them. I’ve seen it over and over again. My suggestion would be to move on to another site if you don’t like what they have to say, or just don’t say anything at all. Could it possibly be that you just don’t have anything else to do but cause trouble? You do realize that all that does is taking the focus off Haleigh?
There is no excuse for the name calling to Simon. After all, it is his site you know and he can write anything he wants to.
Simon, I will apologize for some of the others on here who don’t appreciate what you do. Most of us on here do appreciate all you do.
And no, I’m not posting this comment then running away. I just happen to have things to do right now.
Again, thanks Simon, Jan and all involved for all you are doing to help find this little girl.
I thank the gang, too. That’s Simon, Cobra, TJ, Art Harris, TJ Ward, Tim Miller and all the caring people who write here, and call into the radio show.
Simon – your voice is fantastic, and when I read your printed words, I can hear you speaking at the same time. You have a natural, calming voice that sounds stelular over the net.
Jan, knowing you and Simon are keeping Haleigh’s search alive is comforting.
Again, thanks to every one –
I enjoyed the friendly, informative radio show while doing course work today – the first time I’ve had ANY sound on in the background while studying.
On the radio show today, Cobra echoed my thoughts about MISTY talking about ‘The Blanket’.
Why does she go into a long song and dance about the blanket?
On the video of her speaking with the polygrapher, she exerts a lot of energy, comparatively speaking in comparison to the remainder of her comments, in DEFENSE of her story about washing Haleigh’s blanket.
She is trying to CONVINCE the polygrapher that there is a logical reason for her washing Haleigh’s blanket. She desperately wants the polygrapher to believe she washed Haleigh’s blanket.
I appreciate all of you: Simon, T.J., Jan, and Cobra, Art and Denny. Your articles have been good, and the show was a good one, today.
Did Mr.Tim Miller get the red truck or not?
Is the truck being tested?
The radio show yesterday was G-reat!
Thank-you
