It seems to me that the Google enterprise seems to be suffering from some sort of meltdown today. For once it does not seem to be Gmail, rather a couple of their other products.
Google Analytics seems to have taken to logging people out for no apparent reason. It has happened to me three times in the past few hours. While it is hardly a critical deal it has a huge annoyance factor.
Of much greater concern is YouTube, I have been up since 4am this morning working on video released by Law Enforcement about the Haleigh Cummings case. I have about ten segments to upload, each one is around 50-60 megabytes, and silly me, I went ahead and uploaded most of them (which took a long time) before actually playing them. My 7-8 min videos have been inconveniently reduced to 44 second video’s.
A quick look at the YouTube support forums seem to indicate that I am by no means the only person that is suffering today.
For the most part I like the Google products and they work well. However when things go wrong, they tend to go wrong in a big way! The most annoying fact id that the company tends to be so secretive that it likely will be days before they actually admit that there was a problem. I would much prefer that they fess up and put information out when a situation arises.
I will be interested in hearing comments from anyone else that is having YouTube issues.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a Trackbacksimon, i am sooo sorry! how awful for you to spend all that time since early this morning! now, i wish i had e-mailed you or made a comment. i thought you were aware.
i had trouble a few times this week trying to google info. nothing would happen when i repeatedly tried. i don’t know if that is a related problem.
China might be stepping up their retaliation after Google stopped supporting their governments’ censoring of searches, and might pull out of China.
I am not having any problems uploading to YT today, or for weeks (thank goodness).
You might have to convert the videos you have before uploading to YT.
Does not matter. There is NOTHING new to report in the search for Haleigh.
It might have something to do with this. They are connecting or merging google accounts to you tube accounts.
Your YouTube account and Google account () are now connected, so soon you’ll need to sign in with your existing username and your Google Account password. You’ll no longer be able to sign in with your YouTube password. (more info)

I was having alot of trouble yesterday 2/21/10 on YT as well. Although I wasn’t trying to post videos comments I had left on others videos were erased and reappearing from my “recent activity” section on my YT page.
