As The Ghanaians “Genocide Case” in The Gambia Gathers Pace-Freedom Editor Briefs Ghanaian Press!!
“Agents of human rights abuses should be exposed by any responsible and sincere press.” says Editor M’Bai
“There is sufficient evidence linking the Gambian Government to the incident. The Kufor administration would do great justice to their murdered nationals by ensuring that justice prevails on this matter. There is no room for diplomacy for perpetrators of “genocide.” People linked to genocide must dance to the dictates of the law. Justice delayed, is justice denied. Our Ghanaian brothers deserve to live no matter what.” Freedom’s Publisher posited
Hi Mr.Boafo,
Thanks for the enquiry. Yes, the Freedom Newspaper has been rattling Jammeh’s cage, regarding the atrocities meted out to our Ghanaian brothers by his trigger happy soldiers. So far, we have succeeded in exposing those responsible for these killings and who ordered for the murder of the Ghanaians. Thanks to a well placed source close to the corridors of power in Banjul, facts regarding this well organized “genocide” perpetuated by Jammeh’s hit men are now emerging.
In view of the revelations, made by the top Gambian police source, regarding the killing of your nationals in Banjul, it is the responsibility of the authorities in Ghana to ensure that justice is meted out to the perpetrators of this crime against humanity.
There is sufficient evidence linking the Gambian Government to the incident. The Kufor administration would do great justice to their murdered nationals by ensuring that justice prevails on this matter. There is no room for diplomacy for perpetrators of “genocide.” People linked to genocide must dance to the dictates of the law. Justice delayed, is justice denied. Our Ghanaian brothers deserve to live no matter what.
President Yahya Jammeh has earned himself with the reputation of being a “BLOOD THIRSTY” dictator over the years. It’s about time for Ghana to end his madness, because there was no justification for the murder of their nationals. The Ghanaians were killed, following a misleading intelligence report Jammeh received. He thought that they were dissident rebels poised to overthrow his government. This government is living in fear and uncertainty. It’s unfortunate that these Ghanaians were victims of “mistaken” identity.
The authorities in Banjul, are concealing information regarding the murder of your nationals. This matter should not be left to gather dust under the carpet. Your government must demonstrate its willingness to protect your nationals within and outside Ghana. The Kufor government is faced by a major challenge. Call it a national test, you make no mistake. They must prove to Ghanaians and the world at large that it is committed in bringing these criminals in Banjul to justice. The Kufor administration owes social and political responsibilities to its citizens. It must come to the aid of its nationals in situation like this. This matter is beyond politics. It should be taken seriously otherwise, history will judge the authorities in Ghana badly.
Ghanaians are known to be humble, discipline and law abiding. For the Jammeh government to go extra miles to maim and brutally murder these nationals without allowing the due process of the law to take its cause, speaks volumes about their lack of respect for human rights and basic fundamental freedoms enshrined in our constitution.
Being a Gambian by birth, don’t mean that one have to aid and abet your government on matters relating to genocide and crime against humanity. As a responsible paper committed to the advancement of democracy and liberties of citizens on the continent, we would be doing disservice to our profession, readership and country for failing to expose such a vital information to the world. We at the Freedom Newspaper have no regrets whatsoever, for exposing the killers of these Ghanaians in The Gambia. Agents of human rights abuses should be exposed by any responsible and sincere press committed to the welfare of its people. Our people deserve better.
The Ghanaian population and friends of The Gambia, are being assured about our commitment to report the story in question, faithfully, objectively and accurately. This is not an issue of being “unpatriotic”, but showing love and care for humanity. If exposing agents of human rights violators, mean being unpatriotic, then so be it.
Finally, Mr.Boafo, on behalf of the Freedom Newspaper Management, IÂ want to thank you for having confidence in this leading Gambian online paper. Feel free to use our stories anytime you deem it necessary. Our hearts bleed for your countrymen and women. Gambians are not a party to Yahya Jammeh’s mess. Let him face the rule of law. We are behind you up to the United Nations level. Justice for the dead Ghanaians in The Gambia.

I do not know why such evil and stupid people who are incompetent(Gambia Leader) to defend innocent civilians nor have the ability to produce answers for this horric crime can be leader of an African country!!!!
