This documentary, Keith Moon – Final 24: His Final Hours tells us about the last 24 hours before his death. In case you don’t know who Keith Moon is, he was the drummer for the band, The Who.
Moon was on medication to curb his appetite for alcohol. What he took was legal which he had a prescription for. He had been invited to attend a party by Paul McCartney to celebrate the upcoming premiere of the new film The Buddy Holly Story. Even though everyone was going to be there, Moon declined the invitation because he was worried about being on the medication and not being able to drink at the party.
Keith Moon had another problem as well, unfortunately. He was a cocaine user and a package arrived the afternoon before he died. Once he was high he changed his mind about going to the party so he and his girlfriend, Annette Walter-Lax went. Somewhere along the way he managed to take a few of the pills he was taking to help with his alcohol cravings. The DVD will cover what went on in the next final hours of his life before he died.
It was reported that all his friends at the party noticed Moon wasn’t acting like he normally acted saying he was more withdrawn. Moon was often called by his friends wild-man Moon and described as a non-stop party animal. He was far from acting like the wild man apparently. The DVD will cover what went on the final hours of his life before he died.
Indeed it is a really sad story. This man had a bright future ahead of him. He was one of the most outrageous rock’n’roll performers in the world. In this DVD you will see archival footage, dramatic reenactments and interviews with some of Keith’s family members and from some of his closest friends. Final 24 documented Keith’s final moments. This is not your ordinary biography. It is a psychological detective story attempting to uncover the mystery of why the celebrity died.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackDrummer extrodinare with the personality of a front man. His music is the sound track to my life. His life like many of his. Peers burned so bright but only for a short time. Hopefully he has joined the big gig in the sky.
Keith was messed up way before the last night, Jan. All the same, I’m looking forward to the video. Party like a rock star indeed.
