DNA Testing Not Helpful to Darwin Disciples
More at Odds with Darwin’s TOE
The “end” of evolution as we know it?
With the advent of advanced DNA testing relating to the origin of humans, you’d think geneticists, biochemists, and other scientists, such as molecular biologists, bacteriologists, geophysicists, and microbiologists would trumpet recent DNA findings as additional proof of Darwin’s theory of evolution. Yet we’ve found where a growing number of these types of scientists have come forward to dispute Darwin’s Theory of Evolution on the site: A Scientific Dissent From Darwinism, where over 700 scientists and researchers have signed their name.
The scientists and researchers who signed the list are unanimous in this opinion:
“Darwinism was an interesting idea in the 19th century, when handwaving explanations gave a plausible, if not properly scientific, framework into which we could fit biological facts. However, what we have learned since the days of Darwin throws doubt on natural selection’s ability to create complex biological systems – and we still have little more than handwaving as an argument in its favor.”
We continue to see the MSM publish articles which are favorable to Darwin’s theory, such as the NY Times, Scientists in Germany Draft Neanderthal Genome. What the MSM hasn’t reported are the growing number of scientists and researchers who disagree with Darwin’s theory, calling it “an interesting idea in the 19th century”.
In the NY Times article, German scientists report that they’ve reconstructed the genome of Neanderthals:
“The Neanderthal genome, when fully analyzed, is expected to shed light on many critical aspects of human evolution. It will help document two important sets of genetic changes: those that occurred between 5.7 million years ago, when the human line split from the line leading to chimpanzees, and 300,000 years ago, when Neanderthals and the ancestors of modern humans parted ways; and second, the changes in the human line after it diverged from Neanderthals.”
The NY Times article reported that the “human line split from the line leading to chimpanzees”.
The article also reported that researchers had found that there is no significant trace of Neanderthal genes in modern humans. Of the two claims above, one is fact, the other is based on theory.
The scientific fact from the Times article is that researchers found “no significant trace of Neanderthal genes in modern humans”. The “theory” part: the bit about the human line split leading to Cheetah, Tarzan’s monkey sidekick. The Times also reported that researchers are contemplating a Dr. Moreau type experiment, if, and when a “full Neanderthal genome is in hand”:
“When the full Neanderthal genome is in hand, could it be made to produce the living creature its information specifies? Ethical considerations aside, Dr. Pääbo said, Neanderthals could not be generated with existing technology. Dr. Church of Harvard disagreed. He said he would start with the human genome, which is highly similar to that of Neanderthals, and change the few DNA units required to convert it into the Neanderthal version.
This could be done, he said, by splitting the human genome into 30,000 chunks about 100,000 DNA units in length. Each chunk would be inserted into bacteria and converted to the Neanderthal equivalent by changing the few DNA units in which the two species differ. The changed lengths of DNA would then be reassembled into a full Neanderthal genome. To avoid ethical problems, this genome would be inserted not into a human cell but into a chimpanzee cell.
The chimp cell would be reprogrammed to embryonic state and used to generate, in a chimpanzee’s womb, a mutant chimp embryo that was a Neanderthal in many or most of its features.
Dr. Church acknowledged that ethical views on such an experiment would vary widely. But bringing a Neanderthal to birth, he said, would satisfy the human desire to communicate with other intelligences.”
Neanderthal Man, unable to date “modern human” babes?
The fate of the Neanderthals has been widely debated, with some in the scientific field theorizing that Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons “interbred”:
From Discover Magazine:
“Cro-Magnon people and Neanderthals may have shared their European habitat from 45,000 to 30,000 years ago, but new evidence suggests that they didn’t get more intimate than that. Italian researchers sequenced mitochondrial DNA from Cro-Magnon bones dating from 28,000 years ago and found no trace of Neanderthal DNA, suggesting that the two early hominids did not interbreed to create modern humans.
The fate of the Neanderthals, who vanish from the fossil record around 30,000 years ago, has been fiercely debated. One theory, known as the Out of Africa hypothesis, holds that modern humans, whose ancestors had recently migrated from Africa, drove the Neanderthals extinct, possibly through warfare, disease, or cognitive advantage. But the competing multi-regional hypothesis argues that Neanderthals and modern humans interbred and that Neanderthals were absorbed into our gene pool.”
Yet, some in the anthropological field of science are not willing to accept the current DNA findings as proof that modern humans did not “evolve” from Neanderthals.
Who are they and why?

What bullshit. Take your 700 fake scientists and shove it.
i belive with darwin theory
I think that the coment: “With the advent of advanced DNA testing relating to the origin of humans, you’d think geneticists, biochemists, and other scientists, such as molecular biologists, bacteriologists, geophysicists, and microbiologists would trumpet recent DNA findings as additional proof of Darwin’s theory of evolution.” Says a lot. 700 in a minescule number of scienentists especially if you consider that most of them are specialists in evolution. The overwhelming majority of scientist do see the evidence as growing.
Suggesting that this some trend created by genetic science is very misleading (intentional or not).

Thanks all for the comments.

It’s always surprising to me how many people fiercely defend an unproven idea (that’s why it’s called a Theory) with all the zeal of a religious missionary.
Many times, it’s not about the science or the evidence which turns up: it’s about “how I feel about it”.
Thanks for the comment.
Nice article. But evolution is no longer a theory, but a scientific law, similar in acceptance to the law of gravity. Sure there are quacks out there who have a problem with science in areas where science tends to disprove religion. But evolution is a fact. The human species is also way more than 6,000 years old, by the way. This too is a fact, and not a theory.
Have a nice day.
Most of the Darwin discussions know little about science and less about philosophy.
science discusses how something works…philosophy discusses why something works.
Let us put something into perspective for those who want to express about those 700 dissenters. There is this thing that is called Project Steve. As of 3/26/09 there are 1080 scientist named Steve who “affirm the validity of the theory of evolution.”
What is most bothering is you may have 700 Christian scientist breaking the 9th Commandment.
“Yet, some in the anthropological field of science are not willing to accept the current DNA findings as proof that modern humans did not “evolve” from Neanderthals.” — No scientist accepts that modern human evolved from Neanderthals. No where in the scientific literate is this mentioned. Creationist should stop making things up. Many Christians have become Atheists because people like Creationist morality.
Marcel,
You are wrong. Evolution is not a law. Please support your claim.
can the 2 theory s be right
When someone inserts animosity and attacks, when presenting their point of view it makes me question the strength of they’re argument. I spent hours reading on this debate, as i find it very interesting and have found there is no magic bullet on either side, however the Darwinist claim them on a regular basis, and discredit any dissent as religious based when they appear to be very legitimate scientific points of view. Darwinist actually seem to use religion more, to try an strenghten their position or discredit a dissenter. The truth is 700 is a large number of scientist considering all levels of the educational system, and peer scrutiny involved in dissent. If not religious, a closset dissenter may not voice their oppinion in fear of losing respect, or may not really care thinking the debate will eventually take care of itself and doesnt really affect them. There should be a challenge to non-religous scientist to speak out. I truly believe they are many. Do not let a select few in the educational and scientific community bully you into silence, yes like i said in opening the Darwinist seem to use animosity, belittlement and attacks in the debate. No one likes a bully.
So much has happened in 2 years.
After large amounts of wasted funds, propaganda and disinformation, darwinists have been forced to accept Humans did NOT evolve from Neanderthals. And yes darwinistss did actually make this claim.
Geneticist Svante Pääbo at the Max-Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Germany has discovered that the Neanderthals are indistinguishable from humans “Neanderthals and humans are the same species”
John Hawks, assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Wisconsin, told BBC News: “They’re us. We’re them.”
