You know the expressions “watching the paint dry” or “watching the grass grow”?

Well, now you can watch cheese get ripe.

The BBC reports that the cheesemakers of Somerset have placed a 24 hour webcam on a 20 kg block of cheddar cheese, partly as a joke, and partly to illustrate their web page.

But since January, approximately 400 000 people have logged onto their website to watch the cheese get ripe.

If you go to their website,LINK you not only can watch the cheese ripen, but you can download a screensaver and join the fan club.

For those of you who want a more exciting cheese experience, I suggest you check out the sport of Cheeseracing
