Germany has long been a source of rock bands, some good, some mediocre, and some outstanding. Few though have had any exposure to the North American market. Metal was a style that had its birthing in the late 70’s, and in many ways it has much in common with the Punk uprising. Metal fragmented (pun intended) into a number of sub-genres, one of which is affectionately known as Death Metal.

Final Breath are actually on the ‘softer side’ of the genre, but still something that you likely don’t want to wake up to on your alarm clock! It is 1:30am and I am just waiting for my neighbors to come banging on the door complaining, but I am not really worried, because they owe me $20 towards the cost of having the lawn cut.

Death Metal, is what it is. I find it hard to say much about it. At least Final Breath scream in their own voices, as opposed to the new trend of using voice altering devices.

Personally I feel they took a wrong turn with this album, the music is fabulous, and very well thought out and delivered, if you remove the screaming you would have something that would be quite appealing.
