Judge Perry has just talked about the situation. The problem apparently was with a Juror who was also listed on the Witness List. They have some connection with the Texas Equusearch organization.
Ouch for jury selection.
Judge Perry did comment that ‘I have seen stranger things’.
Meanwhile the Defense and Prosecution continue to argue about the scientific evidence in the case. It is obvious that Judge Perry will take every free moment to deal with last minute arguments. The battle continues on the Frye material.
The big question I have is why is the ‘smell’ analysis so important? Why is the Death Banding on a hair sample so important? Neither seem to be of great importance in the case, but the defense seem like dogs with a bone. Does this evidence cause a problem for the defense of Casey Anthony?

I am so glad that the trial is here. It is going to be very difficult for Baez because he is not used to working such long hours.
The State appears ready! JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE!
Maybe they need to secure all the ones who showed up for jury selection to a room of their own. These people weren’t worth it to begin with if they behaved so rotten pre trial. More motions and more slap downs by HHJP. Maybe Bozo is hoping there wont be a single person who can serve and then declare mistial. Let him. then Judge Perry can go on his own. If anybody ever deserved an azz kicking, it is the duhfense and the stinkin Scamanthonys.
The hair banding issue is extremely important in the case. The banding pattern on the hair that was found in the trunk of Casey’s car could only have happened on a decomposed human, i.e., post death. The sample also narrowed the DNA to be either Caylee’s or Casey’s. Since Casey is alive, the hair sample would have had to be Caylee’s which demonstrates that her body was in the trunk of Caylee’s car at some point after she died.
Are they now trying to say that well water can cause similar banding?
I know that well water frequently has very high levels of iron which can ruin a dye job but I wasn’t aware that it could be mistaken for hair from a corpse.
