I listen to many different styles of music, but if push comes to shove, I will admit that Prog Rock is my favorite. I grew up in England in the 60’s and 70’s and there were so many great bands. One of those prog bands was Curved Air, their debut album Airconditioning reached #8 in the UK charts, and the following year the single Back street luv made it to #4. Not too shabby for a prog rock band just starting out!

As with many bands, they have gone through split ups, changes in musical direction, band members have come and gone, oh, even long periods of dormancy. But, there has been one solid bearer of the Curved Air flag, Sonja Kristina. And she was my guest today,  joining us by phone from England.

Earlier this year some of the core components of Curved air, namely Sonja Kristina and Daryl Way got back together after an 18 year hiatus and released a CD of Curved Air’s greatest hits titled Reborn. Re-recorded this is a new fresh look at some of the best Prog Rock music from the early 70’s.

You can listen to the interview in its entirety here, you will also get to listen to Sonja Kristina’s latest single from the Mask Album, Technopia, and two tracks from her previous album Heavy Petal, Lambent Spire, and Beloved.
