Sonya M. Buchanan has just hit the literary road, and I think it is fair to say she has hit it at full speed. If there were Book Cops, they would be busting her for speeding while on a first book!

Few people, well few regular people understand the vagaries of the book world. Writing a book is the easy part! Getting it on store shelves is the real trick. In 2008 approximately 300,000 new titles hit the market. How many of them made it into bricks and mortar stores? The answer is very few. Most bookstores carry the New York Times best sellers and whatever ever else the ‘Big Publishing Houses’ foist on them. It is not a fair system, but, it is what it is.

Even with these brutal statistics, Saved By Grace is being carried in some 25,000 bricks and mortar outlets across the country!

When I first heard about Saved By Grace I had some reservations, it seemed to be a very niche book aimed at adolescent and young female adults. It also had that big ‘Christian’ banner looming. Oh, please do not get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with this genre, it just did not seem like something I would normally read. Well read it I did, I enjoyed it. I think that is made clear in my review, which you can read here.

Sonya agreed to an interview. I think it is fair to say that Sonya M. Buchanan is 150% behind Saved By Grace!

I like to think that I am a reasonably astute reviewer, and I may see things in books that others might miss. The main character is one Sunnyfaith Christenson, a young lady who is just discovering the world. Her transition from school to college, and into real life is a hard one. Relationships mar her progress.

You can listen to the entire interview here.

Saved By Grace is available at better book stores everywhere, and also online from Amazon. Sonya M. Buchanan also has a website.
