Soon, patrons of McDonalds may never again hear the frustrating apology, “I’m sorry, we stopped serving breakfast at 10:30.” McDonalds is developing a new cooking system at its innovation facility in Romeoville, Illinois, which will enable McDonalds’ franchises to serve breakfast items all day long. The system, if implemented, will make McDonalds’ employees jobs easier ‘by tailoring the flow of the kitchen and prep areas more efficient and easier to use,’ says McDonalds’ chief executive Jim Skinner. By aspiring to the likes of Denny’s or Perkins (restaurants that serve breakfast items all day) Ron Paul, a Chicago based restaurant consultant, believes McDonalds could add 3-5% to their bottom line profits.
