Interview

Thanks for this interview, Jayne. I’d like to start out with asking you what exactly is Scientific Hand Analysis?

Jayne: SHA is a self-awareness and growth technology wherein the lines in your hands mimic the neural pathways in your brain. It identifies innate purpose, special gifts, blind spots and what to do about them, and more. Pretty much who you are and why you are here on the planet.

How is it different from palm reading?

Jayne: It offers no predictions and is not reliant on the intuitive level of the analyst. It is a learnable database compiled over 40 years analyzing more than 30,000 hands. The accuracy is extreme, enough so that forbes.com wrote an article about it.

Inside your book, you mention the numerous and effective healing modalities within the spiritual/metaphysical world. Can you explain what this is all about?

Jayne: Many people categorize these healing and self-awareness tools as “woo-woo,” in a negative sense, meaning they have no scientific basis, true positive impact, or efficacy. Actually, astrology and numerology for example, are both sciences, one of the planets and one of numbers. These are ancient systems that guided humans for centuries, quite accurately. Reiki is energy work, sometimes viewed as woo-woo, but again very effective as a healing tool. Mediums are able to communicate with people and animals who have passed, providing great healing and comfort to those left behind. Until you have witnessed this amazing ability, or experienced it yourself, it’s hard to believe it’s real. My belief is that God has provided us many tools and abilities to help ourselves and others live our most joyful, meaningful lives, including the blueprint in our hands. All that said, these skills and modalities have good and not so good practitioners, just like there are good and bad doctors, architects, and teachers.

You say that Scientific Hand Analysis provides a blueprint to who people are and why they’re here on the planet, their gifts and tripping points, and answers to their big why questions. How can we know this by looking at our hands?

Jayne: The founder of the system, Richard Unger, analyzed over 30,000 hands for 40 years and kept meticulous records, noting which people had which markings and which characteristics. Everything in the hands means something — the lines, fingerprints, shapes, set of the fingers — everything. The technology explains why certain things in life worked, why others didn’t, why some things happened, why behavior patterns exist, and much more. Over time, Richard was able to identify what certain markings meant and how important they were for any one person depending on where they were located, what they looked like, how much curve they had, how many were there, etc.

Can you pick out a particular passage in your book that has that eye-opening wow factor and share it with us?

Jayne: Wow this was tough, great question! And tough to pick just one. How about this one: “It was a HUGE deal. Finally, after being counseled by several therapists, counselors, and spiritual coaches about the depth of my sensitivity, I let the trauma sink in so I could process it.”

What have others said about your book?

Jayne: Here are a few of the comments I have received: “A heart-warming roller-coaster journey,” “A wise, vulnerable, deeply meaningful book,” “I couldn’t stop reading I once started!” “Written with genuine honesty, courage, and admirable openness.”

How has your life changed since writing this book?

Jayne: It may be a little soon to answer this question, considering that it has just been released. I do know, though, that it has helped me go even more deeply into my courage and the aspect of my purpose that involves me being a bridge. A bridge to help people move from the eyes-only physical world to embrace other possibilities and beliefs. To help them cross from just following their noses to introspection and the vast importance of living on purpose. And to move from being stuck to feeling empowered and free.

What’s next for you?

Jayne: I’m sure I will write at least one more book. I feel I am being called to to a bigger stage, one where I can impact many people in the ways I just mentioned. I will continue serving my clients while learning and growing and loving my life!
