What Do Hugo Chavez and Nikita Khrushchev Have in Common?

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez called President Bush "the devil" in a speech before the U.N. today. Later in the speech, he said:

"The United States empire is on its way down and it will be finished in the near future, inshallah (If Allah wills it)."

Read about it here on FoxNews.com.

Chavez's comments reminded me of what Nikita Khrushchev, then First Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, said at the same U.N. in 1960:

"We will bury you."

Read about in here on Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

You know the rest of the story. Khrushchev eventually was removed from office by members of his own Communist Party. The Soviet Union no longer exists.

There is a lesson there.

God Bless America!
