Video Released Shows US Soldiers Being Tortured

A video released today supposedly shows two US soldiers being drug along the ground, mutilated and then set on fire. An al Qaeda-linked group has taken credit for the attack saying that it was done in retaliation for the rape and murder of an Iraqi woman by US soldiers from the same unit as the two in the video. While it is impossible to properly identify the soldiers in the video, they are believed to be Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, and Pfc. Thomas Tucker, 25, both of whom disappeared in June after an attack by insurgents before their bodies were found three days later. In the video they are shown being drug along the ground, first by hand and then by truck. One solider is then beheaded and both bodies are set on fire.
