US-Iran stalemate ends....in space! The 40 year old lady blasted off for the International Space Station (ISS) with the crew of a Russian Soyuz spacecraft from a launch site in Kazakhstan. Till September 29, she will be sharing Space with (imagine!) an astronaut and a cosmonaut. The reaction back home will be an interesting event. Particularly so when the women in Iran have openly proclaimed that Ansari has motivated them to demand greater rights in the male-dominated country where ruling hardline clerics have chosen to restrict women's social roles. Earlier, Ansari expressed her desire to see Iran from Space...Well, lady! if Mr. Bush had its way, he would have transported the whole of Iran to Space so you could have a much better view of your motherland.
