US Intelligence: Iraq War Cause In Rise Of Terrorism

A new classified intelligence document has been revealed to the public. In the document, senior intelligence officials state that the war in Iraq and following insurgency has made the US more of a target for terrorism and has made the country much less safe making the terrorist threat much worse instead. Upon the release of the document, the White House released a statement in the NY Times that said "is not representative of the complete document." And they would not comment beyond that on a classified document. Due to the classified nature of the document, it has not been shared with any of the senators but on ‘Meet The Press’, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) was quoted as saying "Frankly, it doesn't astound me that we would get an intelligence report that if we're not succeeding as well as we had hoped that that would encourage the enemy."
