US and Israel in firing line at NAM The largely defunct group came up with the following resolutions - - condemn Israel's attacks on Lebanon (not too unexpected!) - support a peaceful resolution to the U.S.-Iran nuclear dispute (nothing new!) - condemnation of terrorism (sorry to put you to sleep!) - recognize the right of Venezuela and other countries to determine their own forms of government. (Ouch! Now, that hurts, if you are a big fan of George Bush!) The traditional US foes, like North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela and Sudan stuck to their hardline agenda and Bush-bashing. NAM is in NAMe only and is used as a forum by anti-West forces to amplify their voices against the developed nation, instead of introspecting and taking corrective measures to put their own house in order.
