Ultra thin is Out

Fascination with super thin is passé for good.Afterall beautiful clothes look better on pretty girls than on hangers. Only fashion pundits made us believe otherwise.

The trend started in the Madrid Fashion week in Spain, which went ahead as planned on Monday, with a ban on ultra-skinny models. Reuters reports that the show restricted models to those with a body mass index (BMI) higher than 18. That means a 6'0" tall model would have to weigh no less than about 135 pounds to be considered for the show.

If you were sick and tired of those incredibly thin beauties, gleefully declaring chocolates and ice creams as their favourites, here’s some good news. At least this is going to set some good examples to our kids and teens, who try to emulate the impossible standards set by these public figures and end up being sick and anorexic.
