Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez had some interesting comments for the judiciary regarding the recent terrorist detainee bill that plowed through Congress. Essentially, the Attorney General realizes that the law violates the Constitution on a level that goes back to the genesis of separate powers and the political question doctrine in Marbury v. Madison. Let's hope courts act in the best interests of the people, something the executive has been unable to do since September 11, 2001.
