Timberlake Wins Fans With Second Album

Justin Timberlake knew that he had truly hit the big time, when people began comparing him to Michael Jackson's early work.

"It's quite flattering and little bit overwhelming because when I was a kid Michael Jackson was bigger than bubblegum. I can't think of anyone better to be compared to." he says.

Justin Timberlake, who recently released his second solo album, is being branded as "the king of cool." 25 years old, with a million dollars in the bank for each year he is old, he also has bragging rights for dating one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood and patenting some killer dance moves.

The first single is already one of the biggest hits of the year.

"It's dropped. It's fire. It's pure filth," said one online magazine in response to the single "Sexy Back." Too many people downloaded it, and many music sites had to be shut down.

FutureSex/LoveSounds, his new album, has been described as "lust-filled, off-the-wall and insanely catchy,"but only a few months ago, Timberlake was not sure how it would be received.

"I'm really nervous," JT confessed to the media at the beginning of the summer.

"I was just checking everyone out and trying to see what the reaction was," he explained later on and asked "Did you like it?"

Timberlake began his climb to success when he was cast on the The Mickey Mouse Club at the age of 12. Then he, of course, went on to N'Sync fame.

His first solo album, Justified, sold over 7 million copies and won him two Grammys. But even fun and success can be overwhelming.

"I was just burnt out." he says, "I didn't want to do it anymore. The interviews and the shows, I had done so much. I needed a break. I couldn't go back in the studio. I needed to rest and not have a schedule."

Instead he spent some time with "golf, snowboarding and surfing".

"I travelled — just flew by the seat of my pants. I was just having a good time. I did some films here and there, but none that took longer than a month or month and a half."

Now he is back in the driver's seat of fullblown Hollywood success. With his second solo album skyrocketing, there seems to be no limit to the acheivements Timberlake has ahead of him.
