Terrell Owens Attempts Suicide Rescue workers on the scene report that Owens said he was "depressed" and say they saw him attempting to take even more pills after their arrival at his home. The Dallas cowboys wide receiver, 33, told police that he had taken nearly an entire bottle of painkillers that he had obtained with a prescription last week. He was taken to Baylor University Medical Center for treatment for a drug overdose. Doctors induced vomiting as part of that treatment. This is obviously a surprising turn in the life and career of Owens, shocking NFL players and fans alike. Anyone who had kept even half an eye on Owens for the past few years is aware of his gigantic ego and on-and-off field shenanigans. A suicide attempt was the last thing fans expected from the man who had self-proclaimed "million dollar abs."
