Stocks Continue to Rise Near Record Highs

The stock market continues to go up despite some less than encouraging news from different financial sectors (slowing in the new homes and durable goods sectors). The Dow, S&P, and Nasdaq all are on the rise. The Dow is just about 21 points from its record high of 11722.98. “The economy has been doing well and yet the Market hadn’t been in step with that because we had the specter of high interest rates and rising energy prices” said Arthur Hogan, chief market analyst at Jeffries & Company. Since the Federal Reserve chose to hold interest rates and oil prices are on the decline, it looks as if things will continue to rise on the markets. “Buy low, sell high” Good luck!
