Steven Tyler Of Aerosmith Goes Public With Hepatitis C The BBC reports that "The star needed chemotherapy when he was diagnosed with the virus, which can cause fatal liver problems. The treatment was successful, but it just "about killed me," he told US TV show Access Hollywood, as quoted in the BBC story. Hepatitus C is one of those diseases that can linger for a long time before symptoms are actually experienced.
