Sir Richard Branson Steps Up Again

Already making a run at the title of ‘Most Environmentally Friendly Billionaire’, Sir Richard Branson is not satisfied with the billions of dollars that he pledged towards the goal of reducing greenhouse gases around the world and trying to reverse global warming. In a new plan, Sir Richard has proposed a plan to airports around the world that involves "starting grids" be set up at major airports which would allow a plane to be towed from its stand by a small tug closer to the runway before takeoff, reducing the time engines are running. In a press conference, he said that England’s Gatwick Airport will be the first airport to implement this plan and serve as the first testing ground. If successful he believes that “"We're talking about tens of millions of tons of CO2 saved around the world”
