Signs of Global Warming Abound Don't believe in global warming? Tell that to the drowning polar bears. The summer of 2006 has yielded melting glaciers and previously undiscovered islands. In fact, the summer thaw has been so terrific that polar bears are drowning in the deep water that has resulted from melting glaciers. The polar bears, which live on the edge of the ice to better enable them to hunt seals, have found themselves stranded on the melting glaciers. Once the glaciers melt down the bears have no where to go but in the water. Scientists will hope this serves as a wake up call to the naysayers.
