Senator Allen Apoligizes U.S. Sen. George Allen (R-VA) has not made his re-election campaign an easy one. After film of him making racist remarks towards an American Indian at one of his campaign speeches by calling him ‘macaca’ back in May surfaced (Allen has apologized to Sidarth and said he didn't know the word's meaning.), Allen has been forced to jump many hurdles and now he has one more coming towards him at light speed. Yesterday Allen ducked and verbally attacked a reporter for asking about his Jewish ancestry while at a debate against his opponent (Democrat Jim Webb). Allen apologized for his remarks once again in a statement that says "Some may find it odd that I have not probed deeply into the details of my family history, but it's a fact," However in an interview with the Times Dispatch he is also quoted as saying "I still had a ham sandwich for lunch. And my mother made great pork chops." Allen: I’m No Jew Boy, I Eat Pig! (Rolling Stone)Allen tells of his Jewish heritage (Times Dispatch)
