Redskins (?) The offense: Head coach Joe Gibbs came to the conclusion during the off season that he had become out of touch with today’s offensive tactics, so he hired Al Saunders, former Offensive Coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs to call the plays. Saunders brings with him a 700 page notebook of plays…700 pages? Does an offensive really need 700 plays to be effective? Offensive football is all about three things, running, passing and eventually, scoring. Al, take away 697 of those plays, concentrate on three of your best, and good things will happen. (trust me!) The defense: They are sorely missing injured cornerback Shawn Springs, who most likely will return in a few weeks. His presence allows a stronger commitment to pass rushing, (sacking the quarterback) an area in need of serious help. Oh yeah, one more thing…CHANGE THE NAME!! Horace W.
