Prime Minister Of Iraq Losing Support

Iraqi leader Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki is already drawing doubts from Iraqi and American officials on if he is suited for the job that he was given. As Prime Minister of Iraq, he has done nothing in the four months to improve the living standards and safety of the citizens of Iraq. He has done very little to nothing in regards to meeting with Shiite and Sunni tribal leaders to end the violence and with very few homes having even basic needs such as electricity; the people of Iraq are already growing even more impatient for change. Mahmoud Othman, an independent Kurdish legislator, has been quoted as saying “I think he has said good things, but in practice there has been no change. The security situation is deteriorating and violence is getting worse. He has done nothing against militias. At the same time, the reconciliation dialogue is not moving forward. It doesn’t look good, the prospects for the government.”
