OneWebDay to celebrate Internet OneWebDay has announced to celebrate the first ever “Earth Day for the Web" on Friday (September 22) and expects to sustain the tradition in the years to come. The celebrations will be held at New York City, Boston, London, Vancouver, Bulgaria and the Philippines. The events will vary but they all celebrate what the Web means to individuals, organizations, and communities. The details of the events are available at the official website of OneWebDay. Can we imagine our lives without Internet? Suddenly, the period prior to 1995 seems like stone age. Internet is like an easy accessible gold mine which is suddenly found in the boundaryless frontiers of cyberspace. And we all are exploiting this mine to the extremes without giving the devil its due. Dedicating one day for the Internet is a wonderful idea, but the irony is that even on OneWebDay, our Internet won't have a day off!
