Japanese Working On Power Suit

Engineers in Japan are working on creating a new suit that will amplify a human’s strength. The suit is driven by micro batteries and sensors that pick up on even the slightest muscle movement and compensates giving a person twice the strength at half the effort. The suit is being designed primarily for use by health care workers, especially workers in nursing homes. With this suit, nursing home workers will be able to lift patients up to 180lbs with little effort. The current model weighs 66lbs but researchers hope to bring the size down to a more practical size in future incarnations and revisions. "When I wear it, I don't feel that it's heavy at all," said project team member Hiroe Tsukui after stepping out of the power suit.
