Israel to Pull Troops from Lebanon However, I'm reminded of this Reason piece from a while back, which argued that Israel really did seriously damage its opponents. It suggests that devastation in Lebanon has weakened Hezbollah. Another piece from the same publication, however, says just the opposite, that Israel lost. I guess it's possible that both sides lost, but that about brings the situation back where it started.
