Hostage situation in school snuffs out life of a teen The hostage situation started when a gunman walked into the school at about 11.40 AM and fired several shots inside a classroom before taking six girl-students hostage. But before the Jefferson County SWAT team could zero-in on the culprit, he shot dead Emily and then shot himself dead. No one was sure of gunman's motive but he made sure that Emily don't live the day to tell her ordeal to the world. The increasing incidents of violence in the American society should serve as a wake-up call to the psychologists and sociologists. What kind of adults are we making of our children?
